Kira stood atop one of the crumbling towers of Corintopia, her eyes blazing with envy as she watched Tel-Nu's shadows engulf Cusi and reduce him to nothing more than dust. A twisted smirk spread across her face as she imagined herself in his place—not as a victim of Tel-Nu, but as the one who would seize his power. She had always hated Cusi, hated how much he had, how he lorded over his wealth like some greedy king. But now? Now it was her chance. She could take what should rightfully belong to her.
Envy had consumed her long before Tel-Nu had begun his assault on Corintopia, but now, as the embodiment of Envy, Kira's hunger for power had grown exponentially. Her once nimble and agile form had become twisted, with dark green tendrils of energy spiraling around her. Her hair, wild and untamed, crackled with energy, and her emerald eyes glowed with malice.
Kira had always coveted the powers of her fellow Sinister 7, but none more than Tel-Nu's. His strength, his overwhelming presence, his ability to tear apart their defenses with ease—it was everything she had ever wanted. If she could only bring him down, all of his power would be hers. She would rule, not just Corintopia, but the entire universe.
But Tel-Nu was far from being brought down. As he turned his attention to Kira, she felt the weight of his gaze settle upon her. The shadows that had torn through Cusi's wealth now swirled around her, as if preparing to strike. Kira gritted her teeth, gripping the bow in her hand, and her eyes narrowed with determination. She would not fall like the others. She would not be consumed by her sin. No, she would win.
"You think you can take me down?" Kira hissed, her voice dripping with malice. "You're nothing. I'll take everything from you—your power, your strength, your life. It should be mine!"
Tel-Nu's silence was more terrifying than any retort he could have offered. His towering form stood motionless, his presence alone enough to make the ground tremble beneath Kira's feet. But she would not back down. The energy of envy surged within her, filling her with a dark, twisted power. She nocked an arrow, the bowstring crackling with green energy, and aimed it straight at Tel-Nu's chest.
With a vicious snarl, Kira released the arrow. It tore through the air, faster than any mortal weapon could travel, aimed directly at Tel-Nu's heart. But before it could reach him, the shadows twisted, and the arrow dissolved into nothingness. Kira's eyes widened in disbelief as Tel-Nu simply stood there, unaffected by her attack.
"You're not stronger than me!" Kira shouted, her voice trembling with frustration. "You can't be!"
She drew another arrow, this one glowing even brighter, its tip sparking with raw, envious energy. She unleashed a volley of arrows, each one fueled by her insatiable desire to take Tel-Nu's power for herself. But once again, the shadows consumed them, leaving her attacks utterly useless.
Tel-Nu moved forward, his towering presence now closing the distance between them. Kira stumbled back, her eyes darting from side to side as panic set in. She could feel his power pressing down on her, suffocating her under its immense weight. For the first time, true fear gripped her heart. Tel-Nu wasn't just stronger—he was beyond anything she could ever hope to be.
"No!" she screamed, her voice cracking as she summoned her full power. Dark energy swirled around her, and she released one final, desperate barrage of arrows. "I deserve this! I deserve everything!"
The arrows shot forward, but Tel-Nu's shadows surged ahead, meeting them in midair and disintegrating them with ease. The dark energy surrounding Kira faltered, and she fell to her knees, her breath coming in ragged gasps.
Tel-Nu stopped in front of her, his shadow looming over her fallen form. Kira looked up at him, her eyes wide with terror and disbelief. She had been so certain that she could win, that she could take his power for herself. But now, as she knelt before him, she realized the truth: she had never stood a chance.
"Please…" Kira whimpered, her voice barely a whisper. "I… I deserve this power. It should be mine…"
Tel-Nu's voice, cold and distant, finally broke the silence. "Your envy has consumed you, Kira. There is nothing left for you to take. Nothing left for you to covet."
With a flick of his wrist, the shadows descended upon her. Kira screamed as they wrapped around her, pulling her down into the darkness. Her body twisted and contorted as the envy that had defined her life devoured her from within. The green energy that had once swirled around her was now nothing more than a faint, flickering light as her form disintegrated into the shadows.
Kira, the embodiment of Envy, was no more.
