Hun Luan's path to growth was very smooth, with only the pressure of the impending calamity making him put in 100% of his effort.
Naturally, what came after was the Immortal King realm and the Immortal Emperor realm.
This was where he would struggle to simply breakthrough. The entrance to the Chaos Immortal realm was a large hurdle. But Zhou Fan knew that Hun Luan would be able to break through it himself.
In fact, once he entered the Immortal Emperor realm, Zhou Fan threw him out of the Mansion Grounds.
There wasn't any reason for him to stay any longer.
He would eventually find that Zhou Fan had been lying to him his whole life, but once he reached the Chaos Immortal realm, he could finally help his brother cultivate.
There were already a few roundabout methods he could use, but only in the Chaos Immortal realm could he help his brother cultivate without any negative side effects or unintentional consequences.
Hun Luan was confused by Zhou Fan's approach, but after finding a suitable spot, he continued to cultivate quietly.
Zhou Fan waited peacefully for Hun Wu's time to shine.
The two brothers would be the greatest talents the Universe had ever seen. They just needed to mature.
Millions and millions of Sage Years passed as Zhou Fan sat in the mansion yard cultivating. He had taken on a new project recently, expanding the Multiverse. Although it naturally expanded whenever he broke through, it had remained stagnant for a long time. And when he had destroyed it, it had shrunken by around half.
If he put in some effort, he knew he could expand it even further, so that is exactly what he began to do.
It was a slow process, as the Multiverse was already huge, but in just a single Sage Year, plenty of beings noticed the change.
As thousands of Sage Years passed, the Multiverse surpassed its original size by double. Zhou Fan did not work alone.
Specifically, the bird was thrilled at his project. He always wanted more space to move around.
So he and all of the space related Path Creators under him, which was all of them, began to work on helping Zhou Fan expand the Multiverse.
With Zhou Fan's power as a catalyst and their power as the main force, the Multiverse expanded quickly.
Others got involved as well.
Almost all Path Creators benefitted from more space and more living beings. The God of Death would naturally take the opportunity very willingly, as more life meant more death.
So did Ying Xiong, the Buddha, and many other ancient Path Creators.
It was rare for so many powerful beings to take action all at once, but with millions and millions of Path Creators helping out, the Multiverse expanded at a speed far beyond Zhou Fan's expectations.
By the time Hun Luan was ready to break through, the Multiverse was tens of thousands of times bigger than it had been at its peak before this expansion.
It would take billions of Sage Years to fill up all this extra space. And it was not over yet. Many continued to expand the Multiverse even further, something Zhou Fan supported completely.
When Hun Luan was ready to enter the Chaos Immortal realm, Zhou Fan appeared next to him.
"Don't mind me. I'm just watching." Zhou Fan said.
Hun Luan nodded and began.
With the sound of a click, Hun Luan entered the Chaos Immortal realm. He was now at the Peak of the Universe. Besides Zhou Fan and the recently broken through Lu Jue, of course.
Lu Jue had never once failed to exceed Zhou Fan's expectations, making him wonder if Hun Luan would truly be able to succeed him. Exploring other options was a possibility for sure. But that would depend on the individual.
In the end, Lu Jue would not fit Zhou Fan's role, as he cared too much about humanity.
But if Lu Jue was the best fit, Zhou Fan could consider some underhanded means to influence his train of thoughts.
It was just a possibility.
As soon as Hun Luan broke through, he began to look for his brother.
He found him walking through space casually. Although he could simply ignore space entirely and teleport anywhere, he enjoyed taking walks every now and then.
He was no longer the child from before. He and the Path Creator of Understanding had experienced drastic changes in terms of power.
Hun Wu had killed a Star Immortal before. Although this path took a long time to traverse, nobody could deny its strength.
"Brother." Hun Luan said as he appeared in front of Hun Wu.
Hun Wu smiled. "I thought you had forgotten about me. Is it time?"
Hun Luan nodded. "Alright. Let me go say goodbye to my teacher."
Hun Wu disappeared so instantly that even Hun Luan was caught off guard.
He had never imagined Hun Wu could use such methods.
He quickly found where Hun Wu was and arrived as well.
Hun Wu quickly said his farewells to the Path Creator of Understanding before leaving with Hun Luan.
They arrived in Zhou Fan's mansion.
Zhou Fan stood up and flew into the air. "Come."
Hun Wu, Hun Luan, and Leaf all flew up with Zhou Fan.
Zhou Fan stood right below an invisible wall.
"This is the end of the Universe. Simply walk through, and you will appear next to me again." Zhou Fan said.
Hun Luan and Leaf didn't hesitate at all.
Even before the Chaos Immortal realm, Hun Luan had the capability to enter the nothingness, just as Zhou Fan had.
And Leaf could naturally do so with ease.
Only Hun Wu hesitated for a moment, but as he sensed the calling he felt, he stepped through.
Zhou Fan wasn't sure what he had expected when Hun Wu entered the nothingness. But it sure wasn't what happened.
As soon as Hun Wu entered the nothingness, the entire nothingness shook.
A majesty filled the air, as though a king had just taken his rightful throne.
