Hun Luan soon entered the Universe Immortal realm. Well, soon to Zhou Fan at least. To Hun Luan, he had spent more time in this realm than everywhere else he had ever been combined, and by a lot.
Every time he hinted towards Zhou Fan at the thought of leaving for a while, he received the same response.
"Sorry. I didn't know I was training some little girl. I thought you were the most talented person in the Universe, someone destined to stand at the peak. Someone above all others. If you want to play house with some lesser beings that can't compare to you and have some fun feeling superiority, go ahead. But when you come back, you better be wearing a dress and some high heels."
It wasn't funny the first time, but after a hundred times, Hun Luan was so sick of it he stopped asking.
However, when he reached the Universe Immortal realm, something changed.
Zhou Fan waved his hand, causing an arena to appear.
This caused Hun Luan to open his eyes.
"Now that you've reached the Universe Immortal realm, we will begin your combat training. I will be pitting you against talents from the past and present. Since some never reached the Universe Immortal realm, I will be projecting what their strength would have been like." Zhou Fan explained.
Hun Luan was excited. He would finally be able to fight.
He jumped in the arena without hesitation.
"We will start now. This man's name was Chen Jie. He was hailed as invincible in his era."
Zhou Fan waved his hand, and the silhouette of Chen Jie appeared. His strength was boosted to the Universe Immortal realm.
Hun Luan nodded and readied himself. He was no stranger to combat, but he had never so much as sparred with an Immortal before.
Chen Jie moved, starting the battle.
Hun Luan punched out, his fist formed from the power of Chaos.
Chen Jie did not stop at all, ducking under the fist and reaching out with his hand.
Hun Luan met him head on, but was forced back.
This was Chen Jie's Divine Physique, the Divine Physique of Momentum.
Chen Jie fought Hun Luan to a standstill for a moment, but he was eventually defeated. The overwhelming power of Chaos was even more power than simple Chaos Qi. Back then, Chaos Qi had been invincible. Chen Jie simply could not compete. If he was still alive, perhaps he would have made his own path and power, but he was born in a different era.
Hun Luan was surprised that the first person was already so powerful.
"The next one was a close friend of Chen Jie's as well as my disciple. His name is Zhu Yi."
Hun Luan was shocked to hear he would be fighting Zhou Fan's disciple. Even he had not been accepted as a disciple, though he hadn't exactly asked.
Zhu Yi appeared, falling from the sky with a sword in hand. "Breaking Through All Things."
It was nice to see the technique again.
The unprepared Hun Luan was sent back by the force.
He launched forward, a sword of Chaos Qi appearing. He fought head on, the power of Chaos versus the power of Breaking Through All Things.
Zhu Yi was not to be underestimated in the slightest. He almost injured Hun Luan multiple times, but after just a bit longer than it took Hun Luan to defeat Chen Jie, Zhu Yi was defeated.
He turned into shards that faded away.
Zhou Fan waved his hand, summoning a new opponent.
A giant wielding an axe appeared. "This being's name was Pangu. In his time, he was nearly unparalleled. His talent was extraordinary."
Pangu started the battle with his strongest attack. "Splitting the Heavens."
Hun Luan directly resisted with his strongest burst of the power of Chaos. Even then, he almost lost the battle. But as the axe shattered, so did Pangu's body.
"The next one was known as Yao Mun. I killed him myself, but it was by his request."
A human figure appeared in the arena. The most noticeable thing about him was his eye.
Hun Luan did not know what to expect as the fight started. But he had never imagined such a ruthless individual could exist.
Yao Mun sacrificed his body parts and even his soul multiple times, putting Hun Luan in his first all defensive position.
Yao Mun's potential was simply too strong.
It cost Hun Luan an arm to finally shatter his body, destroying him.
Green lights drifted over as Leaf completely restored Hun Luan's body to its peak condition.
"Next is the closest thing I have to a son. His name is Heaven. But I don't need to protect him."
Zhou Fan waved his hand, causing a portal to appear.
Moments later, a cloud of gas walked through. It condensed, forming a humanoid being.
"It's been a while." Zhou Fan said.
Heaven smiled and nodded. "Too long. What can I do for you?"
"Would you mind suppressing your realm to the Universe Immortal realm and fighting this brat?"
Heaven looked over at Hun Luan. "Sure."
Heaven stepped over.
He appeared in the arena.
Hun Luan focused and attacked first.
Heaven used a finger to divert his attack before using it to push Hun Luan to the ground.
Hun Luan fell, shocked.
"You have almost no battle experience, relying on pure power to display your strength. Though incredible, you are nowhere near a real threat. Come, allow me to teach you." Heaven said.
Hun Luan attacked again.
Zhou Fan watched as Heaven taught Hun Luan. From being able to suppress him with a finger to using his entire body, to being forced back, to being nearly defeated.
Heaven sighed in admiration. They had fought for a year straight before he was defeated.
After all, Hun Luan was a talent theoretically comparable to Zhou Fan.
"I have taught you all I can. Good luck." Heaven said to Hun Luan.
Heaven went and talked with Zhou Fan for a while before leaving.
