"Well then, I'll be back in the inn by sunset."
"Umu, see you."
Eria-nee and I split up on the main road. My job in the castle is not exactly over yet, so I will have to come and go for a few more days. It's unfortunate, but I still have to take care of my responsibilities as the former sage of Ruscheah.
"Fufu!" I unconsciously laughed as I stroll along the main road.
I really had fun. Our little adventure reminded me of the old days. We've clearly gotten too strong for a challenge, but the chemistry between Eria-nee and I had fortunately never gone away.
Fufu... Eria-nee is still so pretty and sexy...
And Log is cute too...
I'm practically bouncing on my feet, and I arrived at the castle before I knew it.
"Oh! Lady Sophia! You're here!"
"Hm? Do you need anything, old man?
The person who called out to me was none other than Rusceah's prime minister. His appearance is that of a withering corpse, you would expect him to collapse on the floor at any moment. He's supposed to have a bodyguard around, but since he's very insistent on being alone, the king compromised and simply assigned more guards in the castle hallways where he usually strolls.
"No, no! You've simply gotten me worried. It's unusual for you to leave the castle without telling anybody."
"Ah. Did I forget to mention it?"
It's not that I forgot to tell them I'll be leaving, but...
"Actually, I'll be moving out of the castle soon."
"H-Huh!? But why!?" the old prime minister shouted, his face turning pale.
"Shh! Calm down!" I held out my hands to calm him down.
"Did anyone in the castle offend you in any kind of way!?"
"Not at all! I just met with my master, so I will be staying with her."
I explained to him the situation. Only then, he finally calmed down. Seeing how close he was to having a heart attack, I let out a sigh of relief.
"The previous sage's master? Is she perhaps old like myself, and you have to take care of her? If that is so, then we could just have her be taken cared of in the castle."
"That's unnecessary. She's an elf, so she's actually as youthful as I am. And even prettier."
"O-Ooh? So your master was an elf? I remember, you did tell us many stories of her before..."
"So, I will be leaving the castle and move to her place."
"I understand. But even still... For you to leave us..."
"Don't look so dissapointed. It's not like I'll be leaving the city. In fact, I'll be staying longer in it now!"
"If you put it that way..."
He tilted down his chin, seemingly weighing the benefits of my longer residence in the city.
"So, I'm going to talk to the king about it. Can you tell me where he is?"
"Umu, the king is currently in his room with his queens. I'll tell you not to bother him... But since it's you..."
"Great. I'm going there now."
The king has the highest authority in the kingdom, so unless it's his queens or the prime minister, no one should be able to meet with him in such a short notice. However, I'm an exception. After all, I'm such a large benifactor to him.
Hmm... He must be doing that with his queens and mistresses as usual...
