The sunlight climbs onto the window lattice, casting mottled shadows that are blocked by the curtains.
Shen Hua stares at the canopy above the bed for a moment, her eyes sleepy and blurred, as her consciousness gradually recovers, her eyes, like glazed orbs, stealthily surveying her surroundings.
