Amri
Amri was in a good mood the day after she'd started Finn and Kwon on their way.
She woke up early again - but not so early she couldn't get breakfast at the cafeteria - and worked on a minor mystery that had bugged scholars for a thousand years - the conjugation of the rune for 'to' which could sometimes become 'in' when written during the Third Sundering Era.
Considering how many times Avsay had evolved over the last four millennia, archaeological linguistics was far from her core expertise. Still, it was relaxing to occasionally practice something distant from dusty tomes about Ascendants, even if it was dusty-tome adjacent.
So far her theory was that it was used as a shorthand, and reflected prior uses of 'to' or 'in' earlier in the sentence structure, except that sometimes it appeared on its own and other times it appeared in sentences where both 'to' and 'in' in their proper rune form were present.
