Chapter 156 - Chapter 150- Towards the end~3

The plan of the Rulers was not something Haru could discern at word-to-word level. However, he knew their overall plan resided in reviving the Absolute Being. And for that, they needed the Monarch of Destruction's soul.

It was already confirmed by the Rulers, the good ones, that the Cup of Reincarnation was stolen when Haru was in the coma. Naturally, there was no point in searching for that thing which contained only a bleak amount of mana.

Haru was now letting things happen as it was. He wasn't going to ask Jin-Woo not to kill the Dragon Monarch, and stopping the other Monarchs from establishing what they desired seemed a drag. That's why Haru decided to let them revive the Absolute Being—their last hope for victory.

Once Haru defeats their last hope, the other side would feel the despair, which Haru wanted them to suffer from.

He not only wanted them dead but to see them suffer from hopelessness and misery.

That's why, when the Ruler appeared in front of Haru, he didn't show much of an instant reaction and lazily asked, "So...are you here to stop me from interrupting the other Monarchs?"

While fondly holding Jinah in his arms, Haru casually asked the winged being, levitating a few meters away from him.

The Ruler scoffed, "You think you know everything, but that's not true mortal. You are nothing but a pawn in this game who is destined to be crushed under our heavenly punishment."

The Ruler seemed to be vibrating in a rush of agitation when he spoke those words. The tone of authority and certainty seemed to have an effect on Jinah as she narrowed her eyes and clutched Haru's shirt.

"Does that thing bother you?" Haru asked in a whisper as he pointed his left hand toward the Ruler.

The said being panicked upon feeling such a huge congregation of energy accumulating around Haru and the malicious intent weighing down on the winged creature. However, even the slight intention of escaping was subdued by the invisible force that kept the Ruler frozen in one place.

The Ruler was at Haru's mercy.

Jinah shook her head and confidently said, "He doesn't.." Looking up at him, Jinah asked, "Was he also the one responsible for your fall?"

Haru was surprised to sense blood lust leaking from Jinah for the first time. Her violet eyes were giving out a light which he had never seen before. The ferocity she gave off was quite tempting to him, however, he decided to set aside his personal feelings for now and answer,

"Yeah, it is."

Jinah's agitation elevated as she released a huge amount of untamed mana in her surroundings and growled at the winged pigeon before announcing her intention,

"I want to fight him, Haru. And don't come between us, please."

Haru raised his brows. His girlfriend seemed really pissed off right now, and it was for his sake...God, he loves her.

"Alright *snap*." Haru snapped his fingers, and suddenly, the three of them were surrounded by darkness. Utter darkness that could make one lose all hopes of returning to the world of life. Darkness is akin to the abyss which can suck one's soul by just staring at it for long.

The Ruler has never stepped inside such an ominous space before. Its whole body trembled like never before. In its panic, the Ruler never noticed when the restraints were released and now it could move its body freely.

Haru released Jinah, and told her, "Fight to your heart's content. I won't interfere."

He interlaced his fingers behind his head and casually stated with a smile on his charming face.

Seeing his confidence in her, boosted her spirit as Jinah nodded to him and turned towards her prey.

"You are taking me as a fool, Infinity. Don't complain when I take your lover's life." The Ruler drew its spear and pointed the tip toward Jinah.

Jinah was prepared and anticipated the attack.

The Ruler flew in her direction at a pace which was a lot faster than how much Haru moved during the training sessions.

However, she was quick with her spell and based on her instincts she erected a barrier in front of her.

"Too easy!" The Ruler shouted as the figure of the winged being disappeared in smoke and nothing interacted with her shield.

The Ruler appeared behind Jinah with its spear raised—aiming for her head. However, all the Ruler met by was another barrier which Jina erected thoughtlessly.

She was able to sense the direction of animosity, thanks to the regular training she did with Haru, and because of that, her instincts have sharpened enough to detect the presence without her visually identifying the foe.

The Ruler growled before a silvery light began to emit from its spear. The authority of the Ruler that allows to rewrite the spells made out of mana.

The barrier began to crack under the sternous pressure of the spear which made Jinah widen her eyes. She thought she has become proficient in barrier magic, and this demon was able to destroy her speciality.

However, before the spear could have penetrated through the greenish barrier, a snap resonated across the void and the spear disintegrated into nothingness.

"Using the gift you for from your Papa to fight a human...how lowly you can be birdie?" Haru's words agitated the Ruler to no end, however, it was like the being had already sensed the difference between itself and the Infinity which allowed the Ruler to retain its composure and ask Haru.

"That spear was a part of me that's why I didn't deem it unfair to use."

Seeing the chicken wannabe presenting a BS logic, Haru nodded with his finger on his chin and his lips rounded in an 'O'.

However, that look of astonishment was replaced by a grin as Haru reminded, "The Spear that rewrites the phenomenon of the world is an exclusive tool which every Ruler receives from the Absolute One with the purpose of purging the demon rather than battling against a human. Tell me if I am wrong."

The Ruler was beyond shocked hearing that. How this being was knowledgeable about the matters relating to the Rulers?

"Is it that....you are the reincarnation of the Absolute Being?!" The Ruler nearly shouted and Haru rolled his eyes.

"Me? That giant statue who wasn't able to defend itself from its own creation? Please." Haru shook his head helplessly. Seriously, why was this presumption was so off the mark?

"Take this!" Suddenly a violent orb of raw energy hit the Ruler from the behind—creating a hole through its chest in an instant.

Haru tilted his body and allowed the orb to go past him into the void.

"Nice work, love. Taking the advantage of enemy's distraction is a brilliant strategy." Haru literally flew his way to his lover and patted her head in compliment.

Jinah grinned toothly while being pampered.

The Ruler, who was on the verge of death, couldn't believe that they were regarding this nasty strategy as 'win is a win'.

'Seriously...human beings are the wors....'
