An office desk and a leather office chair were placed in the spacious study room. The shelf against the wall was neatly stacked with books. Another wall was decorated with a few paintings.
Glen scoffed at this layout. He sat down on the sofa, waiting for Eloise to open the safe.
The safe was positioned just behind the oil painting. Held against the knife, Eloise approached the safe. Just as she was about to open it, a thought crossed her mind. She turned over to face Glen. "You guys will not hurt me as long as you get your hands on the money in the safe, right?"
"That depends on whether the things in the safe are as valuable as your life," Glen snapped as he rested his legs on the office desk.
"Bitch, hurry up! Don't make me wait!" The subordinates rushed Eloise as they nudged the knife against her back, cutting through her silk nightgown.
