WHOOOOSH!
Ethan materialized at Mount Paozu like a silver ghost, his aura still pulsing with the urgency from the conversation at the Time Palace. The sun was setting, painting the sky orange and red – colors that reminded him far too much of blood and fire.
"GINA!" – he shouted, his voice echoing across the fields. "WE NEED TO TALK! NOW!"
CRASH! THUD!
The response came in the form of a Saiyan landing a few meters away from him, kicking up a cloud of dust. But it wasn't just Gina. In her arms, a four-year-old boy looked at Ethan with those curious black eyes that were identical to his mother's.
"Hi, Uncle Ethan!" – Goku Jr. waved, smiling like a little angel. "Mama was teaching me how to fly!"
"And he's already flying better than most adults out there" – Gina smiled, but Ethan caught the tension behind the expression. "You felt it too, right? That pressure in the air?"
"Two Saiyan ships. Three days" – Ethan cut straight to the point. "And there's more. Fu's involved."
Gina's smile died instantly.
"Fu?" – she repeated, instinctively pulling Goku Jr. closer to her chest. "That psychopath is still alive?"
"Alive and apparently with access to our dimension" – Ethan sighed. "Chronoa's trying to figure out how he broke through the temporal barriers, but for now..."
"For now we prepare for the worst" – Gina completed. "Who's coming?"
"Vegeta and Nappa. Saiyan elite."
SILENCE...
The silence that followed was broken only by the wind passing through the tree leaves. Gina looked at her son in her arms, then back at Ethan.
"They're coming after me, aren't they?" – she asked, her voice heavy with guilt.
"Probably. But that doesn't matter now" – Ethan placed his hand on her shoulder. "What matters is that everyone's ready."
FWOOM!
A gust of hot wind announced Chi-Chi's arrival, who landed beside them carrying Gohan in her arms. The little boy was sleeping, but even so his aura pulsed gently – a sign that Saiyan power already flowed through his veins.
"I sensed you guys having a serious conversation" – said Chi-Chi, adjusting Gohan better in her arms. "Is it about that strange feeling I've been having for days?"
"Worse than that" – Ethan quickly explained the situation.
While he spoke, more people kept arriving. Bulma appeared in a personal aircraft, carrying Bulla who was dozing in the baby seat. Fasha came running across the fields, Bardock Jr. flying beside her with an impressive naturalness for his age. Panchy teleported (an ability she'd recently developed), bringing Lingie who was already carrying a small emergency backpack.
"Always prepared, huh champ?" – Ethan smiled at the boy.
"Noudel calculated we'd have unexpected visitors this week" – Lingie responded with adult-like seriousness. "Mama said to be ready for anything."
BZZZZT! BEEP!
Tights appeared on a floating technological platform, Noudel – now five and a half years old – operating controls that seemed too complex for his age.
"Sensors confirm" – the boy announced, his calm voice contrasting with the gravity of the situation. "Two massive energy signatures approaching. ETA: 71 hours and 23 minutes."
"Jesus..." – Bulma murmured. "And here I thought I'd have a quiet weekend."
WHOOOM!
Mai emerged from the shadows with the military precision she'd perfected over the years. Shin walked beside her, his alert eyes scanning the group as if cataloging each person present.
"Mama" – Shin tugged at Mai's jacket sleeve. "The voices are getting louder."
"What voices, son?"
"The ones that talk about bad things that are going to happen" – the boy explained matter-of-factly. "They always get louder when danger's near."
Mai exchanged a worried look with Ethan. In recent months, Shin's precognitive abilities had intensified. If he was picking up something...
RUSTLE... CRACK!
Violet emerged from the forest like a tree nymph, Kaede running beside her with light steps that barely made noise on the ground.
"The plants told me" – Kaede said before anyone could ask. "They feel the anger coming from space. And something else... something that shouldn't exist."
"Fu" – Ethan confirmed. "Your daughter's right, Violet. There are two threats approaching."
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The air around the group began to distort, and Towa materialized carrying equipment that looked like it came from a sci-fi movie. Mirai stood beside her, now seventeen years old with a posture that screamed "experienced warrior."
"The data is conclusive" – Towa announced, activating holograms that showed the solar system. "Two battle pod class ships, cruising speed, heavy armament. And... this here."
She pointed to a third signature, smaller but infinitely more disturbing.
"Unknown temporal energy. Dimensional fluctuation pattern. It's Fu, no doubt."
"But how did he manage to break through the barriers?" – Bulma asked, though she already suspected the answer.
"He's using the Saiyan ships as a dimensional anchor" – Towa explained. "The closer they get to Earth, the stronger his connection to our reality becomes."
BOOM!
Suddenly, a familiar figure landed in the middle of the group with a force that made the earth tremble. Piccolo, who in recent years had become a sort of silent guardian of Earth, looked at everyone with a grave expression.
"I sensed the gathering" – he said simply. "And I sensed the threat too."
In the five years since the tournament, Piccolo had changed drastically. The reluctant alliance with Ethan had transformed into something resembling friendship. He was still proud, still stubborn, but now channeled that stubbornness toward protecting rather than destroying.
"Piccolo!" – Gohan woke up in Chi-Chi's arms and immediately reached out to the Namekian. "You came!"
"Of course I came, kid" – Piccolo smiled (a rare event, but one that happened increasingly frequently). "Wasn't going to miss the party."
FWOOM! CRACK!
A golden light exploded beside the group, and Chronoa materialized carrying Verdandi. The four-year-old girl looked around with eyes that seemed to see much more than they should.
"Papa" – Verdandi broke free from her mother and ran toward Ethan. "The timelines are all messed up. Fu's messing with things he shouldn't."
Ethan picked up his daughter, feeling the temporal energy pulsing around the girl.
"What else can you see, princess?"
"Two very angry people coming here. And... and a shadow behind them. A shadow that wants to hurt everyone" – Verdandi hugged her father's neck. "But there's light too. Lots of light. You guys will succeed."
GROWL...
Everyone turned to look at Bardock Jr., who had moved away from the group a bit. The eight-year-old boy was staring at the sky with disturbing intensity.
"I... I remember them" – he said, his voice strangely adult. "I don't know how, but I remember. Vegeta. Nappa. They... they destroyed my planet."
Fasha ran to her son's side, but he raised his hand.
"No, mama. I need to remember" – Bardock Jr. closed his eyes. "Papa... he tried to warn everyone. But nobody listened."
A single tear ran down the boy's face.
"This time will be different" – he murmured. "This time I'll be ready."
SILENCE...
The group fell silent, processing the revelation. Then, Ethan stepped forward.
"Everyone" – he said, his voice carrying that natural authority he'd developed over the years. "I'm not going to lie to you. What's coming is going to be tough. It's going to be dangerous. And maybe some of us won't..."
"Don't finish that sentence" – Gina interrupted him. "Because it's not going to happen. Not this time."
"She's right" – Chi-Chi agreed, holding Gohan tighter. "We've had five years to prepare. Five years to get stronger. More united."
"And this time, we're not alone" – Mai added, looking at all the children present. "We have a new generation that was born already knowing what's worth fighting for."
WHOOSH!
A gentle breeze passed through the group, as if Earth itself was showing approval.
"Then it's decided" – Ethan smiled, looking at each member of the group. "We have three days to finalize preparations. Three days to make sure that when Vegeta and Nappa arrive here, they find not a defenseless planet, but a family willing to defend their home."
"And Fu?" – Towa asked.
"Fu's going to discover that messing with our family was the biggest mistake of his miserable life" – Ethan replied, his silver aura pulsing with determination.
The children, each in their own way, reacted to their father's words. Goku Jr. laughed and flew a little higher. Gohan clenched his little fists. Bulla clapped her hands. Verdandi smiled as if she knew a secret. Shin closed his eyes and nodded. Kaede touched a flower that immediately bloomed. Bardock Jr. gritted his teeth. Lingie adjusted his glasses. Noudel began making mental calculations. Mirai crossed his arms.
Ten children. Two generations. One family.
Out in space, two ships cut through the cosmic void, carrying warriors who imagined they were heading toward an easy conquest.
They had no idea what awaited them.
