We were getting scammed by the old goldsmith that we were trying to exchange our gold with.
"Hahaha..." The old goldsmith let out a small laugh. "What a sharp young lady."
His fingers gently rolled one of the ancient gold coins across the black cloth as he looked at Nuo Lin.
Nuo Lin smiled sweetly.
"I learned from experience, please do not mistake my robes for being easily gullible. I know what my wares are worth. If you're not going to be telling me the correct and right price, we can find other places that would happily accept gold THIS pure." She folded her hands neatly in front of her, her expression as gentle as ever.
I looked back and forth between them.
Nuo Lin jiejie was smiling.
The old goldsmith was smiling.
"...Hold on now." He looked down at the coins again.
Then back at Nuo Lin. "...How much were you hoping for?"
