Chapter 2 - At work

Alex was stern and wild. Whenever he walked into the company, everyone immediately adjusted themselves. They were afraid of even looking him in the eye, except for Susan. He entered the company with a straight face, carrying his cute little suitcase and wearing a perfectly ironed suit. He headed straight to his office, paying no attention to anyone's greetings. However, woe betide anyone who failed to greet him.

### Alexander

Alex was tall, handsome, physically fit, and brown-skinned. He was wealthy as hell and everything a woman could ever want. He was a flirt who loved playing with women's feelings. He was rude and always claimed he had no heart. Jadon was his closest friend, and he was known for dating many girls before dumping them.

His secretary, Susan, had already fallen in love with him, but he kept brushing her off.

Susan did everything she could to get his attention, but she always failed. She cooked meals and brought them to work for him. She wore short skirts and unbuttoned shirts, hoping he would notice her. She even made sure his office was always neat and well arranged, but all her efforts were in vain.

Alex leaned back in his chair, slowly swaying from side to side as he went through some documents. He made several phone calls before walking over to his cupboard and taking out a bottle of whiskey. He always kept one there.

He returned to his seat, poured himself a drink, and took about three shots.

Just then, Susan walked in.

### Susan

She was pretty, of average height, with caramel skin. She was well-endowed and had a beautiful figure.

Alex looked up towards the door to see who had entered. It was Susan. She was dressed as she usually was and walked in confidently.

"Good morning, sir," she said, trying to sound seductive. "How was your night?"

Noticing the whiskey on the table, she walked to the cupboard, took out a glass, poured herself a drink, and joined him.

She crossed her legs, making sure they were clearly visible.

Alex kept staring at her without saying a word.

Susan adjusted her skirt slightly, hoping to catch his attention.

Alex finished the last of his drink, stood up, and walked towards her. The alcohol had clearly affected him. He pulled her to her feet, pushed her gently against the wall, and kissed her.

Some time later, they became physically intimate.

Afterwards, Susan left the office smiling, convinced that she had finally won his heart.

Alex picked up his phone and called Jadon.

"Sup, man? Let's meet at our usual spot. Something's up," Alex said.

After Jadon replied, Alex ended the call, cleared his desk, and drove off.

Susan sat at her desk, replaying everything that had happened. She couldn't stop smiling.

Just then, her colleague, Jessy, walked in and noticed the dreamy look on her face. She called Susan's name several times, but Susan didn't respond.

"Heylooo!" Jessy called one last time, much louder.

"Yesss!" Susan replied, jumping from her chair. It was obvious she had been lost in thought.

"Ah ah, calm down, ma'am," Jessy said with a laugh. "What are you thinking about? I've been standing here for more than fifteen minutes and you didn't even notice. So, tell me. I saw you go into the boss's office. What happened?"

Susan looked at Jessy for a moment before finally telling her everything that had happened.

"He's finally fallen for me," she added excitedly.

Jessy stared at her in shock before bursting into laughter.

"You really think Boss Alex has fallen in love with you?" she asked. "Haven't you seen the kind of girls he's dated and dumped? They're even prettier than you. What makes you think he'll choose you now? Relax, girl. Haven't you heard? They say he doesn't have a heart. He doesn't love anyone."

Susan frowned.

"Eh eh, carry your trouble away from me. Just leave!" she snapped.

Jessy laughed again.

"Yes, Mrs. Alex," she said sarcastically before walking away.

Susan sat quietly for a while, thinking about Jessy's words. Finally, she made up her mind.

Tomorrow, she would ask Alex if he truly loved her.
