Chapter 231: The Sixth Trial of the Ice God

"There is also an ability called Ice God's Descent, which doubles all attributes and also doubles the power of ice attribute attacks."

After understanding the abilities of the Ice God Ring, Ning Bei's previous dissatisfaction completely dissipated, replaced with a smug expression. After all, his Ice God position was better than Bibi Dong's, right?

Bibi Dong's situation was truly miserable—she had nothing but the Rakshasa Scythe, a tragic existence.

"What? This is too overpowered!"

"It's all luck, just luck."

While they were chatting, the information about the divine trial once again appeared in their minds.

"Sixth Trial of the Ice God, The People of the Ice God. Establish a power that believes in the Ice God on the continent. The time limit is one year. Rewards will be given based on the prosperity and renown of the power."

"Huh?"

"What's wrong, Ice God?"

Xue Di noticed that Ning Bei had fallen into thought again and, having some suspicion, waited for him to return to his senses, which he did, revealing the details of the sixth trial.

"The sixth trial has been released. It's about establishing a power that believes in the Ice God. The more prosperous and famous the power is, the better the rewards will be. The time limit is one year."

"Great! Our entire Extreme North already believes in the Ice God. We just need to form the power."

Xue Di's beautiful eyes sparkled with joy. To her, this trial didn't seem too difficult.

"Yes, you're right, but relying solely on the Extreme North won't be enough. The support of soul beasts alone won't make the Ice God Temple known across the continent."

"This..."

Xue Di thought for a moment and agreed, but she had no solution to the belief of the human soul masters.

"Don't worry, let's first establish the Ice God Temple in the Extreme North, near the valley where you once were, which isn't far from Bing'er's clan's territory."

"Okay."

"I will have the clan members spread the word about the Ice God among the soul beasts in the Extreme North."

With the current plan in place, Ning Bei directly flew toward the Ice Snow Valley.

Several hours later, in a forest not far from the valley, a crystal palace made of cold ice rose from the ground.

It was created by Ning Bei using his Everfrost Domain, with the structure being an exact replica of the Ice God Temple. In front of the palace was a vast central plaza.

Standing inside the translucent palace, Ning Bei looked around for a moment but felt that something was missing. He then began discussing it with the three giants of the Extreme North.

"Don't you think something is missing here?"

"It does seem a bit too empty."

The green-haired little loli glanced around the Ice God Temple and agreed with Ning Bei's observation, though she couldn't pinpoint what exactly was lacking.

In the end, it was the most reserved Tian Meng who spoke up.

"Little Ice God, don't you think there should be a statue of the Ice God here?"

As soon as Tian Meng spoke, Ning Bei and the Ice Snow Emperors' eyes lit up. Indeed, it was like what he said—just think about the Angel God Temple in Qian Renxue's family. Doesn't it have a statue of the Angel God in the center?

Thinking quickly, Ning Bei moved to the very center of the hall, slightly raised his right hand.

A statue, ten times the size of Ning Bei, rose from the ground. The ice sculpture resembled him perfectly, with his left hand behind and his right hand in front, showcasing his little mustache and conveying a sense of calm reassurance, as if saying, "You've worked hard, comrades."

In short, it exuded a solemn yet peaceful aura.

"Ice God, does this pose have a deeper meaning?"

"Yes, it represents the Ice God's invincibility, sweeping away greed and evil from the world."

"I see!"

After admiring his masterpiece for a moment, Ning Bei descended the steps and moved to the statue's right side. He slightly raised his hand again, and a statue of Bing Tian Xue Nu, slightly smaller than Ning Bei's, rose from the ground.

"This is the protector of the Ice God, Bing Tian Xue Nu, representing the Ice God's majesty and purity."

Ning Bei then moved several meters to the left and raised his hand again. A statue of the Ice Blue Emperor Scorpion appeared, its silver pincers and iron claws showing off its majestic and fierce aura.

"This is the protector of the Ice God, the Ice Blue Emperor Scorpion, representing the Ice God's bravery and fighting prowess."

The Ice Snow Emperors looked at the statues representing themselves within the temple, clearly pleased and proud. Under Tian Meng's eager gaze, Ning Bei slowly spoke.

"Alright, it's done. Finished."

"I'm done too!"

Tian Meng immediately protested, "What? Are you treating me differently? Do you look down on me, the fat worm?"

"What about me? What about me, Ice God!"

Ning Bei smiled softly. He had only been teasing this gluttonous worm. Seeing Tian Meng so agitated, he decided to appease him and walked over to the Ice Tian Xue Nu statue's right side.

"Wait, Ice God, I want to stay beside Bing'er."

Hearing this, Ning Bei rolled his eyes. So troublesome.

However, he didn't reject his request. Under Bing Di's disdainful gaze, he moved to the left side of the Ice Blue Emperor Scorpion statue and slightly raised his right hand again.

A statue of a fat worm slowly rose.

"This is the protector of the Ice God, Tian Meng the Ice Silkworm, representing the Ice God's luck."

"What the hell? Why am I associated with luck? You bastard! If it weren't for me, would you even meet Bing'er and Xue Di?"

Ning Bei's preferential treatment had completely broken Tian Meng's composure. Shouting loudly under the murderous gaze of Xue Di, he began to scold.

"Alright, alright, it was just a sentence. Don't make a big deal out of it."

"Why not? Bing'er and Xue Di's statues represent majesty and purity, bravery and combat, but for me, it's all about luck. Isn't that bullying the honest worm?"

"Fine, fine, fine. It represents the Ice God's luck and wisdom, okay?"

At this, Tian Meng finally nodded in satisfaction, looking at Ning Bei with a "you're smart" expression.

"Hmph, that's more like it."

After finishing the interior of the temple, Ning Bei walked outside and wondered whether he should create some sort of divine light or something like the Sea God's divine light, where soul beasts could cross over and receive rewards at the end?

Thinking about it, he raised his hand. The Ice God Temple, originally at the same level as the plaza, immediately shot up by several hundred meters, with a cold ice staircase with nearly a hundred steps linking the temple to the plaza.

At the top of the stairs, Ning Bei created an ice stele and infused it with a massive amount of soul power. Then, he activated the Everfrost Domain and engraved the domain onto the stele. This was just a small use of the domain.

From now on, each level of the stairs would be slightly colder than the previous one. Upon reaching the 99th level, the temperature would approach absolute zero. After successfully reaching the top, the soul beasts would have the opportunity to comprehend a small cold ice domain.

It was essentially an impoverished version of the Everfrost Domain, and it was a small reward for the soul beasts who believed in the Ice God.

After doing all of this, Ning Bei released Xiao Xue Nu from the Pill Tower. With her 200,000 years of cultivation, she now had the appearance and figure of a middle school student.

Perhaps because Ice Tian Xue Nu was naturally aloof, she wasn't as clingy as she was in her earlier stages, but she still showed unwavering respect.

"Brother."

"Xiao Xuehua, from now on, stay in the Extreme North and help guard the Ice God Temple."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Xuehua's eyes flashed with a hint of reluctance but she quickly concealed it, nodding in agreement.

Leaving the Ice God Temple with Xiao Xuehua to guard it, Ning Bei wasn't worried about it being destroyed. After all, a 200,000-year-old Ice Tian Xue Nu wasn't someone to be trifled with.

Chapter 232: Tang San Awakens, The City of Slaughter

Ning Bei took out dozens of Ice Spirit Herbs from his soul tool and handed them to Xiao Xuehua, instructing:

"As the heir of the Ice God, I need to establish a force in the Extreme North. If any soul beasts manage to ascend the 100-level stairs in the future, give them these Ice Spirit Herbs as a reward."

"Yes, brother!"

After giving these instructions, Ning Bei had Bing Di summon the clan members to the Ice God Temple plaza.

"Xiao Xuehua, come!"

A flicker of confusion passed through Xiao Xuehua's eyes, but she obediently followed Ning Bei down the stairs to stand in front of the hundreds of Ice Blue Scorpions.

Ning Bei instructed Xiao Xuehua to stand among the scorpions and raised his hand, casting a pale blue light that enveloped them.

"Ice God's Blessing."

The gentle light bathed the first batch of Ice God's followers, making them feel at ease, and even healing many of their previous injuries.

"This Ice God Blessing will last for a year, and during this time, your cultivation speed will be quadrupled. Work hard."

Upon hearing Ning Bei's words, the Ice Blue Scorpions became excited, clearly overjoyed.

Bing Di spoke up at the right moment, explaining the secrets of the Ice God Temple's steps to the clan, while also instructing them to spread the word of the Ice God Temple across the Extreme North Snowfields, so that more soul beasts could hear the teachings of the Ice God.

All the Ice Blue Scorpions hurriedly agreed, knowing that with the benefits in hand, running a few errands was no big deal—especially when it was the command of their king.

After chatting with Xiao Xuehua and Xiao Bingbao for a while, Ning Bei decided to leave the Extreme North Snowfields. His next destination was Tiandou City.

As the largest city near the Extreme North with the highest human population, could there be a better place than Tiandou City to set up a human branch of the Ice God Temple?

Moreover, Tiandou City had the highest number of ice attribute soul masters, making it the perfect place to spread the faith of the Ice God.

After resting in Xueyue City for a while, Ning Bei rented a carriage and headed toward Tiandou City. Since there was no rush on the return trip, he decided not to fly.

Meanwhile, in the City of Slaughter, in a dim, eerie grand hall, Tang San slowly regained consciousness.

Opening his eyes and looking around at the bloodstained, murderous hall, Tang San immediately snapped out of his daze, his body tensing up as he assumed a defensive posture.

"Where is this? Wasn't I being hunted by a Title Douluo from the Soul Hall? Did I die? Is this hell?"

Just as Tang San forced himself to calm down and assess his situation, a hoarse, ancient voice came from the high platform of the hall.

"You're awake!"

Tang San shuddered. What kind of creature could produce such a voice? Just speaking sent an endless murderous intent?

He mechanically turned his head, locking eyes with a pair of crimson pupils.

The man sitting on the high throne had pale white hair, his face covered with terrifying black patterns. A pair of enormous bat wings drooped behind him. Just being stared at by him made Tang San feel a chill down his spine.

But, having undergone the Tang Sect's assassin training in his past life, he forced himself to stay calm and cupped his hands toward the man on the throne.

"Senior, may I ask where this is? How did I end up here?"

"Hmph, you ask where this is? This is hell for the virtuous, heaven for the butchers. You can call this place the City of Slaughter."

"City of Slaughter?"

Tang San furrowed his brows. From just the name, he could tell this was not a place for good people. The self-proclaimed virtuous Tang God King instinctively wanted to ask the man to let him go.

However, upon further reflection, since the man had gone through the trouble of bringing him here, how could he possibly let him go easily? It would be better not to provoke him.

"Senior, the reason you brought me here, is there something you need me to do?"

Upon hearing this, the crimson eyes of the man on the throne grew even more intense, and his face twisted with hatred.

"Hmph, the reason I brought you here is obvious."

Just as Tang San was about to question him further, the man shot a red light.

Tang San was slightly startled but had no time to react, and could only allow the red light to enter his forehead.

At that moment, a cold, emotionless voice echoed in his mind.

"Shura God's First Trial: Achieve a hundred victories in the Hell Slaughter Field."

"Shura God Trial?"

Tang San's eyes widened in disbelief, and he repeated the words. After a long pause, he looked at the man on the throne again, still confused.

"Senior..."

"In the City of Slaughter, there are no seniors or juniors, only those who kill and those who are killed. You can call me the King of Slaughter. As for other things, you don't need to ask, and I won't tell you."

"You will be guided in what you need to do," he said, waving his hand to summon a bloodstained woman, who then led Tang San away.

Tang San frowned but didn't dare to defy the King of Slaughter, who was clearly not someone to be trifled with. He followed the woman slowly out of the grand hall.

As he stepped outside, Tang San let out a sigh of relief. Although the murderous aura and the stench of blood were still strong outside, they were much better than inside the City of Slaughter's hall.

Tang San tentatively spoke to the woman, who was wearing a black veil:

"May I ask, what do I need to do next?"

"Hehe, you can call me Blood Rose. This is your identity token."

The woman answered without addressing his question and tossed a token toward Tang San, who fumbled a bit before catching it. Cautious, he activated his Xuan Yu Hand before touching the token.

"9528?"

"This is your proof in the City of Slaughter. The City of Slaughter is a paradise of sins, where there are no rules. What you need to do is survive."

"No rules?"

Tang San was slightly startled. Even in his past life in the Tang Sect assassin organization, there were many rules. Yet here, in the City of Slaughter, there were no rules.

"That's right. Here, no soul skills are allowed. You can only survive the Hell Slaughter Field once a year to continue living in the City of Slaughter."

"And the food here is free, though be careful, it may be poisoned!"

Tang San listened to the woman's explanation, his heart sinking with each word. He tried using his soul skills, but as she said, they wouldn't work. His heart dropped further.

After a long pause, he finally asked:

"How can I get out of this City of Slaughter?"

"Mr. 9528, to leave, you must win the Hell Slaughter Field and earn the right to challenge the Hell Road. Once you break through the Hell Road, you can leave."

"Of course, you could try to break out directly, but I advise against it."

"You should know that under the King of Slaughter's leadership, the law enforcement team in the City of Slaughter is allowed to use soul skills. The strongest among them is a Title Douluo."

Tang San nodded slightly, indicating that he understood. He also had no intention of trying to break out. After all, the Hell Slaughter Field mentioned by the woman matched the trial information he had just heard in his mind.

Although he didn't fully understand what a god was, anyone who could silently issue tasks in his mind must be extraordinarily powerful, stronger at least than any Title Douluo on the continent.

Chapter 233: Tang San's First Battle

"Don't you think that if the self-righteous Soul Hall finds out about the existence of the City of Slaughter, they won't come to wipe you out?"

"Even if they know, so what? Forget about the fact that wiping out the City of Slaughter wouldn't benefit them at all, Mr. 9528, don't you remember that those who can enter the City of Slaughter are all criminals? The people from the Soul Hall probably wish that all the evil people on the continent would come here!"

Tang San nodded. Indeed, as Blood Rose had said, the City of Slaughter was a natural prison for the Soul Hall, helping them imprison some of the most unforgivable criminals. Perhaps the food source for the City of Slaughter was even provided by the Soul Hall.

The outlaws here didn't seem like the kind of people who would settle down and farm or raise livestock.

After asking Blood Rose a few more questions about the City of Slaughter, the woman turned back to look at Tang San.

"Well then, would you like to familiarize yourself with the environment of the City of Slaughter, Mr. 9528?"

"By the way, as a newcomer, if you stay by my side, you'll have a 12-hour protection period!"

The words of the woman made Tang San frown. As he walked with her, he had already learned about the basic rules and environment of the City of Slaughter. Everything here made him feel extremely uncomfortable.

Whether it was the people who had to pay two Bloody Marys every month to avoid the Hell Slaughter Field, or the outlaws who would smile warmly one moment and take your head off the next.

"No need. Just take me directly to the Hell Slaughter Field."

As for the City of Slaughter, Tang San only wanted to complete the trial and leave as soon as possible. He feared that if he stayed here too long, he would become a madman who only knew how to kill.

Because he had realized that in the City of Slaughter, he didn't need to control his emotions intentionally—killing intent would naturally surge within him. Only by constantly killing could he suppress the violence in his heart. If this continued, he would surely lose himself in this endless killing.

And the woman had mentioned that the City of Slaughter was a paradise for the fallen. Tang San only chuckled in response. The people who paid Bloody Marys every month were hardly here to enjoy themselves.

To be more precise, this place was more like a paradise for those with strong strength who had fallen from grace. He wasn't a criminal, so it would be better to leave as soon as possible.

Blood Rose smiled but didn't refuse Tang San's request. She continued to lead him to a special building.

The building was round in shape, or more accurately, an irregular cone, with the largest diameter at the base and narrowing as it rose, reaching a height of 50 meters.

"Excuse me, are there any rules for the battles in the Hell Slaughter Field?"

"It's simple. Once you enter, use your identity token to register, and then wait for the battle to begin. You are not allowed to strike before the battle starts. Each fight will have ten participants. No matter what means you use, the last one standing is the winner."

Tang San nodded, understanding. He was secretly surprised. A 10-to-1 elimination rate—no wonder the weaker individuals would rather offer their blood every month than participate in the battles of the Slaughter Field.

However, Tang San felt confident. This City of Slaughter, where soul skills weren't allowed, was the perfect place for him to utilize Tang Sect's hidden weapons and techniques.

After thinking for a moment, Tang San bid Blood Rose farewell and entered the Slaughter Field. After showing his identity token at the front desk, he moved to a corner to wait.

He glanced over the open space ahead. Four people were already waiting there. Among them were a burly man with a rugged appearance and another with a pale, somber face. Despite their differences, the one thing they all shared was the killing intent in their eyes.

Since Tang San entered, the four of them had locked eyes on him. They looked at him briefly, but quickly looked away, clearly not seeing the unimposing, clearly young Tang San as a threat.

After a long wait, the ten participants for this Hell Slaughter Field battle were finally gathered. The last to enter was a middle-aged man with pale skin, hollowed eyes, and a frail physique. He looked like he had been forced into the arena due to his inability to produce enough Bloody Marys.

With the arrival of several Slaughter Knights, the ten participants, including Tang San, were escorted into the arena.

It was very rudimentary, even less elaborate than the preliminary rounds of the Elite Soul Master Tournament, yet it would decide the life or death of the ten participants.

As one of the knights gave the signal to start the battle, all ten participants, including Tang San, tensed up.

Tang San's eyes glowed with a hint of purple, activating his Purple Extreme Magic Eyes. This was a matter of life and death, so he wasn't going to take it lightly.

In the end, the first to act was the large, burly man who had registered first. He charged toward the others, swinging his large blade, creating a wind with each swing. In just a few moves, he took the life of another muscular man who had been holding a steel hammer.

Tang San watched coldly, not in a hurry to make his move. Watching the battle unfold and conserving energy was clearly a good strategy.

The large man, also considerate, took his time dealing with the other participants until only Tang San and the unlucky man with the vacant expression remained. Finally, he turned his attention to Tang San.

In the large man's eyes, these two were the least threatening—one had no killing intent and was clearly a newcomer to the City of Slaughter, while the other seemed to have no combat intent at all.

With his great sword resting on his shoulder, the large man slowly walked toward Tang San, grinning.

"Kid, it's your turn."

Tang San smiled faintly. His jade-like right hand brushed over his soul tool.

"Thank you for dealing with the others. Now… you can die!"

The large man was slightly stunned, not expecting the seemingly weak kid in front of him to say such a thing.

Angrily, he raised his sword to strike Tang San. However, after taking two steps forward, he suddenly stopped, spitting out a mouthful of blood before collapsing to the ground.

It turned out that a small, leaf-shaped dart had pierced his neck, deeply cutting his carotid artery.

Tang San stepped forward and retrieved the dart. Though his soul tool contained many of these hidden weapons, in the City of Slaughter, he couldn't find the materials or tools to make more, so it was better to use them sparingly.

After dealing with the large man, Tang San slowly walked toward the frail, middle-aged man who had collapsed into a sitting position as soon as he entered. The man seemed to sense someone approaching and trembled involuntarily.

"Sorry, although you didn't seek death, it was destined that you would meet this fate."

After delivering a painless end to the man, the Slaughter Knight announced Tang San's victory. Tang San, suppressing his discomfort, exited the Hell Slaughter Field, where he saw Blood Rose walking toward him.

"Well, it seems I underestimated Mr. 9528. I thought that would be the last time we met!"

"Here, have a drink."

Tang San took the large, red, foul-smelling drink, hesitated for a moment, and then drank it all in one gulp. He fought back the urge to vomit, swallowing it down with clenched teeth.

Since he had decided to survive in the City of Slaughter, this Bloody Mary was something he would have to drink.

Sure enough, after a few dozen seconds, Tang San felt the killing intent in his heart beginning to subside significantly.

"It seems that Mr. 9528 is adapting quite well. Well then, I'll take my leave. I hope you enjoy your time in the City of Slaughter!"

Chapter 234: Bibi Dong's Plan

Inside the Pope's Hall, a master and disciple were having a stare-off.

The little fox's eyes were filled with defiance, clearly having had some sort of argument with her teacher.

After a while, Bibi Dong helplessly rubbed her forehead. Ning Bei's words before leaving still echoed in her mind.

"Who wasn't groomed to be the successor of the Pope as a saintess? Just like you two, master and disciple, and them over there, master and disciple as well. Your master gets tormented by the teacher, and the disciple gets tormented by the disciple. A perfect closed loop."

Thinking of this, Bibi Dong's head throbbed even more. Although she didn't think her disciple would betray her, one can never be too sure!

"Nana, you don't have to go to the City of Slaughter. Isn't it good enough to go to the Death Canyon for training with Xie Yue and Yan?"

There was a flash of intense emotion in Hu Liena's eyes. Clearly, the loss in the Soul Master Tournament had dealt a huge blow to her.

"But, teacher, if I don't do it, I may never catch up to the talents of the second team of the Royal Fight Team. I can't accept that. Only by going through the trials of the City of Slaughter can I challenge them again."

Sigh!

Bibi Dong let out a long sigh. Her heart was filled with mixed emotions, but in the end, her love for her disciple outweighed the suspicions in her heart.

"Alright, teacher agrees to let you go train in the City of Slaughter, but you must agree to a few conditions."

Upon hearing that her teacher had given in, the little fox, kneeling on the ground, looked up in surprise, her eyes full of excitement.

"Teacher, tell me, don't just say a few conditions, I'll agree to hundreds of them!"

Bibi Dong rolled her eyes.

"Let's start with these few conditions first."

"First, you absolutely cannot develop feelings for that Tang San."

"Wait, teacher!"

Before Bibi Dong could finish her sentence, Hu Liena timidly interrupted, her voice uncertain.

"Teacher, the Tang San you're talking about... is he the one with the... stinky butt... King?"

Bibi Dong expressionlessly nodded, causing the little fox to stare in terror and instinctively lean back.

"Teacher, in this life, I would rather jump off the Death Canyon or die right here than develop any feelings for that stinking guy. Don't joke around."

Bibi Dong gave a nonchalant smile.

"Of course, it's best if that's the case. Just a reminder for you. Now, the second condition: if you meet Tang San in the City of Slaughter, try to avoid conflict with him. If possible, avoid fighting him in the Hell Slaughter Field."

"Huh? Why?"

Hu Liena was puzzled, unable to understand why her teacher was so concerned about this Tang San.

"You don't need to know. Just follow the instructions. If you think you can't do this, then there's no need to go to the City of Slaughter."

"Alright... fine, I agree, teacher."

"Good, the last condition: before you go to the City of Slaughter, go to Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School and ask Young Master Ning for some Soul Cleansing Pills."

Hu Liena's eyes widened again in shock. What was this? I don't even know that person, is it really okay to just go and ask for something?

The little fox stretched her neck and asked tentatively.

"Teacher, is this really a requirement I must fulfill?"

"Well, sort of!"

The little fox pouted, still recalling the scene from the palace before.

She felt that her teacher was being very unfair. That was clearly your man, why couldn't you just ask him for the Soul Cleansing Pills? Why make me do it? Should I call him Master or Uncle? It's so awkward. He looks like he's about the same age as me, and yet, you seem to like him.

Her heart was filled with dissatisfaction, but in order to get her teacher's approval to go to the City of Slaughter, she had no choice but to reluctantly agree.

"Yes, teacher! I understand. I'll go to Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School now."

"Wait!"

As Hu Liena was about to leave, she turned to look at her teacher, wondering if there were any additional requests.

Bibi Dong took out a milky white head soul bone from her soul tool and tossed it to her disciple.

"Absorb this soul bone. If you go to the City of Slaughter, it could come in handy."

"This... teacher, this is too precious."

The little fox took the soul bone, feeling like she was unworthy of such a precious item. After all, she had just failed her teacher's expectations by not leading the Wuhun Hall team to victory in the Soul Master Tournament. She felt undeserving of it.

"Take it. Only by absorbing it will it be of use. In my heart, the three of you are more important than any soul bone. The City of Slaughter is dangerous, and I don't want you to be harmed."

"Teacher..."

Hu Liena felt deeply moved, her eyes brimming with tears.

"Go. If you can make it through the trials in the City of Slaughter, I'll be proud of you."

"Yes, I won't disappoint you again, teacher."

Watching the little fox leave, Bibi Dong bit her lip, her heart filled with complicated emotions.

The reason she had her disciple go to Ning Bei was also part of her plan.

If Ning Bei thought her disciple wasn't suitable for the City of Slaughter, he could just refuse to give her the Soul Cleansing Pills.

And if Ning Bei didn't mind, the Soul Cleansing Pills would ensure her disciple's absolute clarity and calmness in the City of Slaughter, greatly ensuring her safety.

Only when a person is absolutely clear-headed can they bring out their full strength.

Meanwhile, Ning Bei had been traveling for several days and had returned to Tiandou City. Last time, he didn't get to properly explore the city due to arguing with Little Angel. This time, he planned to truly experience the local customs of Tiandou City.

After entering the city, Ning Bei wandered around, looking for a suitable place in the city to set up a human world branch of the Ice God Temple.

After half a day of wandering, Ning Bei settled on an empty valley behind Tiandou Academy.

It was said that many of the girls from Tiandou Academy liked to go there to practice their soul skills.

But none of this had anything to do with Ning Bei. He chose this location simply because the geographical environment was suitable—there were no other motives.

However, the land behind the academy belonged to Tiandou Academy's private property, so if Ning Bei wanted to borrow it, he would have to get permission from the higher-ups.

Of course, Ning Bei could always directly use his nine soul rings to forcibly take the land, but his goal was to collect the faith of the Ice Soul Masters and promote the name of the Ice God Temple. Doing that would backfire.

After thinking it over, Ning Bei decided to approach the academy with reasoning and persuasion.

He was confident that with the training conveniences offered by the Ice God Temple, the higher-ups of Tiandou Academy wouldn't refuse him.

However, what Ning Bei didn't expect was that his plan to meet the academy's higher-ups was thwarted in the first step. He was stopped by an old woman at the academy gate.

"What do you want? Tiandou Academy only accepts female students and female faculty members. What business does a man like you have coming in?"

The old woman pointed to a sign beside her.

Ning Bei looked at the sign that read "No Men or Dogs Allowed" and was left dumbfounded. What? Is this some kind of gender discrimination?

Suppressing the urge to use his Imperial Sword: Ice Extremity to level the academy, Ning Bei dejectedly returned to the city, planning to gather information on the whereabouts of the academy's higher-ups.

If I can't get into the academy, at least I can visit them, right?

Chapter 235: Tiandou Academy

After a few rounds of using soul coins to clear a path, Ning Bei successfully found out where the dean of Tiandou Academy resided.

After winding through several alleys, he arrived in front of a luxurious-looking mansion. The sign on the gate read "Water Mansion."

"Water? Could it be connected to that little Ice Phoenix girl?"

Ning Bei didn't think too much about it and directly knocked on the mansion's door.

Half a minute later, a woman with light blue shoulder-length hair peeked out. She paused for a moment after seeing Ning Bei's face, then her cheeks blushed slightly.

"It's you! Um... may I ask what you need?"

Ning Bei was a bit surprised. He had just been thinking about the possible connection to Ice Phoenix, and now her younger sister had appeared.

The woman who came out was none other than Shui Yue'er, the dolphin-wielding fangirl he had met once before.

"Hello, we meet again. I'd like to meet with your master to discuss a few matters, if that's alright?"

"Ah? Wait here, I'll be right back."

Shui Yue'er seemed a bit flustered as she hurriedly turned around and went back inside, closing the door behind her.

A few minutes later, the door opened again, and several women with the same hair color appeared before Ning Bei.

Among them, two women at the front looked much older, from the same generation as his father, Ning Fengzhi.

The two women behind were Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er, whom Ning Bei had already met.

Ning Bei nodded at the two younger women, acknowledging them, and then saluted the two older women in front.

"Junior Ning Bei, I have some matters I'd like to discuss with the seniors."

The older women gave Ning Bei a thorough look before welcoming him inside. They had tea brought to him and invited him to sit.

"I'm Shui Xinrou, the head of the Shui family and the dean of Tiandou Academy. This is my sister, Shui Yurou. Feel free to discuss whatever it is you need with us."

After the introductions, Ning Bei felt somewhat relieved. It seemed like these were the decision-makers, so his trip wouldn't be in vain.

Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er looked at Ning Bei curiously, unsure of why someone so skilled in ice magic would come to talk with their mother.

After organizing his thoughts, Ning Bei spoke.

"Senior Shui, may I ask if you've ever heard of the legend of the Ice God?"

"Ice God!"

The four women of the Shui family gasped in surprise, their lips parting slightly.

"Why do you mention the Ice God, little brother? Our Shui family is an ancient family, and we have a legacy of ice-type martial spirits. We do have some records on the Ice God, but the ancient Ice God should have perished long ago."

Ning Bei secretly sighed in relief. It was much easier now that they had some knowledge of it. It was better than explaining everything from scratch, starting with what gods are.

"I'm not worthy, but I have inherited the position of the Ice God. The reason I came to the Shui family is that I need your assistance with something."

"Ah!"

Shui Xinrou and the three other women all gasped. They only knew a little about gods, but they didn't expect to meet one in person. Shocked, they even changed the way they addressed Ning Bei.

"Lord, what is it that you need our help with? Please speak freely. If the Shui family can do it, we certainly won't refuse."

"Of course, please feel free to ask, Lord, we'll do everything we can."

Shui Yurou was even more excited than her sister, her tone indicating that they were eager to help. If someone didn't know better, they might think she was his mother-in-law!

Hearing this, Ning Bei almost lost his balance. He had initially thought he would have to do a lot of talking, maybe even offer some benefits to get what he wanted, but these two women had agreed so quickly.

"Uh... don't you have any conditions?"

"No, it's an honor for the Shui family to offer any help to the Ice God."

"That's right, Lord. Whatever you need, just ask."

Ning Bei was momentarily stunned. Was this a bit unethical? But he had underestimated how much weight the Ice God held in the hearts of these ice-type soul masters. Wouldn't they be eager to offer help to a god? He felt a little guilty, but after thinking for a while, he did have one additional request.

"Actually, I do have one request. Could you remove the sign in front of your academy that says 'No men or dogs allowed'?"

At these words, Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er couldn't help but giggle, clearly amused by Ning Bei's awkward encounter at the academy's gate.

Shui Xinrou's eyes flashed with embarrassment, and she immediately agreed.

"I'll have someone take down the sign right away. I hope the Ice God won't hold it against us. It's just that Tiandou Academy is composed entirely of female soul masters, and we've had too many instances of harassment."

Ning Bei nodded, understanding. After all, with all those tall women around, it was normal for some men to have ideas.

With the matters settled, the five of them made their way to Tiandou Academy. In the expression of the academy's gatekeeper, who seemed to be wondering what tricks Ning Bei had used, he followed the four tall women into the academy.

Along the way, the beautiful girls practicing in the academy all gave him surprised looks, as if questioning why a man was allowed in.

Some of the more flirtatious girls even sent him flirtatious winks and air kisses, likely due to their pent-up desires.

As they walked, several female students from the Tiandou team in the Soul Master Tournament joined the group, including Xue Wu, who had previously teamed up with Shui Bing'er for a martial soul fusion skill.

When Xue Wu got close to Shui Bing'er, they whispered to each other. Ning Bei, knowing what was going on, guessed that they were gossiping about him.

Xue Wu's mouth formed an "O" shape, which confirmed that they were talking about the Ice God.

They finally reached the back mountain. Ning Bei looked around the wide open space, while Shui Xinrou and Shui Yurou exchanged curious glances.

Ning Bei understood what they were thinking—since the identity of the Ice God had been revealed, they likely wanted to verify if what he had said was true. After all, everything about the Ice God had only been Ning Bei's word.

The two women had agreed to his request, probably to confirm the truth for themselves. If Ning Bei had been lying, they would have shown him what it meant to mess with women.

Ning Bei's lips curled into a smile, and now was the moment to impress them.
