Chapter 111: Flame Spirit Princess
To be honest, Ning Bei hadn't yet decided how to deal with the Blue Silver Emperor and its soul bone. For him, soul bones were somewhat unnecessary.
He didn't lack flight or healing abilities; in fact, he had even more powerful abilities than this soul bone could offer.
However, there was no rush to make a decision about the Blue Silver Emperor or its soul bone. In the future, leaving it for Rongrong or Big Brother would be a good choice.
With the goal of the trip accomplished, Ning Bei appeared outside the waterfall. He looked at the darkening sky and decided to camp here for the night in this beautiful and tranquil place. After all, the nearest city, Notting City, was still far away, and by the time he reached it, it would probably be dawn.
He summoned Yao Yao and looked at him with a mischievous smile.
"Yao Yao, can you do real estate?"
"???? Big Brother? What do you mean?"
"Well, you see, I want to stay here for the night, but it seems there are no houses around."
Yao Yao then understood his meaning, rolled his eyes, and placed one hand on the ground.
Countless branches instantly transformed into a thatched house in front of them.
"Here it is, here it is, Wood Release: Three-bedroom, two-living-room technique."
After asking Yao Yao, it seemed that Yao Yao preferred to stay inside the Pill Tower. Ning Bei didn't force him and just returned him to the tower.
It was a bit lonely being alone in the wilderness.
Thinking about this, Ning Bei took out the barbecue tools from his soul tool, intending to make himself a late-night snack.
Just as Ning Bei prepared the soul beast meat and was grilling it, a slight disturbance occurred on the seventh floor of the Pill Tower.
Ning Bei summoned the Three-Eyed Golden Lion and looked at it with a helpless expression.
"You really can't skip a meal, can you, little glutton?"
The Three-Eyed Golden Lion ignored Ning Bei's teasing and walked over to the barbecue, its eyes glowing with excitement at the sight of the grilling meat. Its long tail swayed back and forth.
After a while, it turned its gaze back to Ning Bei, its eyes full of inquiry, as if asking if the meat was ready yet.
Ning Bei helplessly smiled, taking some cumin and chili powder from his soul tool and sprinkling it on the meat.
Hmm, even better. This was evident from the saliva dripping from the Three-Eyed Golden Lion.
He handed the grilled soul beast meat to it, and the Three-Eyed Golden Lion didn't even know what politeness was, devouring the meat in a whirlwind.
The few pounds of grilled meat were almost gone, and Ning Bei only had a small taste before it was all gone.
He shot it an irritated glance, rubbed his eyes, and went straight into the little house Yao Yao had made.
The Three-Eyed Golden Lion, seeing Ning Bei go in, also followed behind.
Ning Bei ignored the little creature, went straight to the vine bed, and lay down to sleep.
After a long time, Ning Bei, half-dreaming and half-awake, felt a furry body crawl up onto him. Thinking it was the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, Ning Bei didn't resist, as it had a natural hand-warming function. He hugged it back and continued to sleep.
The Three-Eyed Golden Lion looked at Ning Bei, who was holding it, licked its face with its tongue, causing Ning Bei to chuckle lightly.
"Qiu'er, stop it, that tickles."
The Three-Eyed Golden Lion kept staring at this human who had been with it since birth, not knowing what it was thinking.
After a while, it opened its forehead eye and pressed it onto Ning Bei's forehead.
In his sleep, Ning Bei had a strange dream. It felt as though he was inside an egg, struggling but unable to break free. Suddenly, a pleasant fragrance wafted through the eggshell, and Ning Bei was intoxicated by the scent, greedily absorbing it.
He didn't know how long it had passed, but the eggshell seemed to become fragile, and Ning Bei poked it with his claw. Huh? Strange, why is it a claw?
Since it was a dream, Ning Bei didn't think much of it. He broke through the eggshell and saw a man who looked exactly like him.
Excited, he jumped in front of the man and licked his face, then his stomach growled loudly, so he quickly wriggled free from the man's arms.
Hmm? The eggshell seemed to be delicious. He quickly ate it, feeling somewhat full. The taste was indeed good. It would be even better if the man in front of him could give him more food.
The man, being generous, brought a large basin of soul beast meat, bigger than his body, and served it to him. He ate until he was full.
In the days that followed, the man would occasionally play with him, and he loved rubbing his belly. It was ticklish, but it felt so comfortable.
Ning Bei's dream became increasingly disturbing. Just because someone looked exactly like him, does that mean they could randomly rub his belly? What's going on? And now, he wants to kiss me? Don't come near me!
What is it like to be kissed by someone who looks exactly like you? Ning Bei found it horrifying, and sure enough, he was kissed awake.
He opened his eyes and saw that the sky outside the thatched house had already brightened.
"Is it already morning?"
He was about to stretch when he realized that his hands seemed to be restrained by something.
He lowered his head slightly and nearly had his eyes pop out.
"Where did this woman come from??"
The woman in his arms had jet-black hair that reached her back, and her skin was as white as snow, seemingly flawless.
But why did her face look so familiar?
At that moment, perhaps awakened by the Demonic Scepter, the woman in his arms rubbed her eyes and slowly sat up.
She looked at Ning Bei in confusion, then a faint smile appeared on her lips.
"Big Brother Bei, this humble servant greets you. Would you like to experience tenderness like water, or passion like fire?"
This terrible line was indeed terrible! But why did it sound so familiar?
With the woman's exquisite face in front of him, Ning Bei instantly snapped back to reality and tentatively called out.
"Yanyan Ling Ji?"
"Hehehe, Sir, you still haven't told me, do you prefer tenderness like water, or passion like fire?"
Yanyan Ling Ji climbed up to Ning Bei, teasingly lifting his chin with her delicate jade finger and looking at him with a playful smile.
However, Ning Bei didn't notice that a subtle blush appeared on the woman's face.
At this moment, Ning Bei didn't care about those details. His mind began to race.
Last night, I finished the barbecue and went straight to sleep in the thatched house. Did I wake up in the wrong way?
Before I fell asleep last night, Qiu'er seemed to have climbed up too, then...
Wait, Qiu'er?
"Are you Qiu'er?"
Ning Bei cautiously asked the woman in front of him.
Yanyan Ling Ji smiled and nodded, her playful expression now turning into a more satisfied one.
"I thought you wouldn't recognize me after I transformed. How do you like it? I transformed into the form you most like in your mind. Do you like it?"
She then walked to the bedside, spinning around in front of Ning Bei.
"Tender like water, passionate like fire. Big Brother Bei, you sure play the field!"
Yanyan Ling Ji didn't notice that Ning Bei's face was getting darker and darker as she continued to show off her current form.
Unable to take it anymore, Ning Bei grabbed her and slapped her in the chest.
"Who told you to transform? Look at you, showing off! Don't you know I have Transformation Pills?"
At first, Yanyan Ling Ji struggled madly, but as soon as she heard Ning Bei's words, she froze in place.
"Transformation Pills?"

Chapter 112: Preparing to Head to the Extreme North
"Transformation Pills, what are those?"
Ning Bei rolled his eyes, let go of Qiu'er, and shot her a glare.
"Did you not notice that both Da Ming and Er Ming are in human form?"
"Aren't they the ones who transformed themselves into humans?"
"Forget it, let's not talk about that. Anyway, you're already in human form. By the way, what level is your soul power now?"
Qiu'er sensed her own cultivation level, then looked at Ning Bei.
"I'm around level 60 now."
??? Ning Bei seemed to have forgotten that after the Three-Eyed Golden Lion transformed, it didn't start from scratch. Plus, her martial soul seemed to be the Golden Dragon.
"Your martial soul is the Golden Dragon?"
Qiu'er's eyes lit up slightly.
"Big Brother Bei, how do you know about the Golden Dragon?"
"Never mind, just answer if it's true."
"Then do you need help getting a soul ring?"
Ning Bei thought for a moment. If he took Qiu'er to the Star Dou Forest, it might attract the attention of Di Tian and the others. In any case, once Tian Meng wakes up, he'd need to go to the Extreme North anyway. He could just get the soul rings there. The Extreme North wasn't short of power-type soul beasts.
"Let's wait a bit. I'll go with you later."
As soon as he finished speaking, Qiu'er shook her head vigorously, denying Ning Bei's suggestion.
"I don't need to get a soul ring. My bloodline doesn't rely on soul rings to increase power."
Ning Bei thought about it and realized that in the original story, Qiu'er killed the blood-red baboon to obtain the sixth soul ring to help Huo Yuhao get a more suitable soul ring. Now, since Huo Yuhao was nowhere to be found, it seemed that this step could be skipped.
"Qiu'er, return to the Pill Tower for now. I have to get going."
Just as Ning Bei was about to put Qiu'er back into the Pill Tower, a voice suddenly rang in his mind. Truly, as they say, when you talk about someone, they show up.
"You lucky brat, you even managed to bring back an Emperor Beast."
Ning Bei's heart leapt. It was the voice of Tian Meng Ice Silkworm.
"You're awake?"
"Yeah, the first offering didn't go as smoothly, so I slept a little longer."
Ning Bei rolled his eyes. It sounded like he was talking as if any soul beast could offer itself twice. However, upon further thought, if the Blue Silver Emperor restored its power and then offered itself again, it might really be able to do so.
"When do you plan on heading to the Extreme North?"
Hearing Tian Meng's question, Ning Bei thought for a moment. He didn't seem to have anything important going on. Xiao Wu and Rongrong had the Sky Blue Bull Python to protect them, and he wasn't worried about their safety. Plus, he had already taken care of the big hammer.
"I'll go after telling the elders in the sect. I'm really looking forward to my second martial soul."
"Mm, that sounds good! By the way, do you have a god backing you?"
"Huh?"
Tian Meng's words caught him off guard. This was exactly what Qian daoliu had said last time. It seemed that they weren't just talking nonsense.
"How did you figure out that I have a god behind me?"
Confused, Ning Bei planned to ask them for the basis of their assumptions.
"I can't really explain, but it's that sense of authority that occasionally emanates from you. Even I feel a sense of unease. This is something that even Di Tian didn't make me feel."
??? That explanation seemed pointless. Where does this authority come from? It can't be from the Pill Tower, right? None of the others have said they felt anything like that.
"I don't know anything about gods, but I can tell you for sure that I've never come into contact with any gods. I suspect someone has tampered with me."
Ning Bei's face turned dark as he spoke his thoughts to Tian Meng in his mind.
"You make a good point, but maybe they just want to select you as an heir? Don't be so panicked."
After thinking for a moment, Ning Bei agreed. His talent was indeed rare, so it wasn't surprising that a god would notice him.
It was also his fault for focusing too much on calculating against Tang San lately that he subconsciously thought he was being targeted by some sinister god.
"Let's just leave it at that. They'll surely reveal themselves eventually."
"Mm!"
After saying this, Ning Bei put Qiu'er back into the Pill Tower, released his external soul bone, and flew towards the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.
Meanwhile, the members of Shrek were gathered in the training ground by Flanders.
"Ahem, let me introduce you to the person standing beside me."
"Yu Xiaogang, known as the Master of Martial Souls, the author of the 'Top Ten Core Competitiveness of Martial Souls,' and my old partner. From today onwards, he will be responsible for your daily training."
"By the way, he's also Tang San's teacher."
Flanders didn't know what Tang San had done in the illusion, and thought that by showing off Tang San's excellence, Yu Xiaogang, who had low cultivation, would be able to gain some recognition. He was clearly mistaken.
The group of kids didn't react strongly at first, but when they heard that he was Tang San's teacher, a look of disdain appeared on their faces.
What could he teach us? How to run faster than our companions when encountering danger?
Rongrong, however, was slightly moved. She had heard of Master's name before, especially in her brother's stories, where he was frequently mentioned. His name also appeared in the sect's curriculum, but always as a negative example.
Yu Xiaogang, still unaware of the thoughts of the children, cleared his throat and stepped forward.
"Everyone, from now on, I'll be in charge of your daily training. Flanders has already briefed me on your situations, and I'll make sure he improves your food. Eating only porridge and buns isn't enough."
The group was initially going to protest, but when they heard that their food would improve, they immediately suppressed their displeasure. After all, they'd just have to go through the motions during training, and the benefits were still worth it.
Seeing that there were no objections from the little monsters, Yu Xiaogang nodded with satisfaction, thinking that everyone must recognize his academic achievements.
Next, Yu Xiaogang led the students to the center of the training ground, where there were seven or eight bamboo baskets and a pile of stones.
"Physical strength is crucial for soul masters. If you want to absorb soul rings close to their limit age, a strong body is indispensable. So, for the next period of time, you'll be training your bodies through weighted long-distance running. Oh, and no martial souls are allowed during the running."
The students all had big question marks above their heads. Just this?
Ma Hongjun, with a displeased look, immediately raised his arm. Asking this fat guy to run with weights was practically suicidal.
"Master, I have a question."
"Go ahead."
"From what you said, a good physique can help get a soul ring closer to its limit. But how do you judge the limit of a soul ring?"
Tang San, who was standing nearby, cursed himself. A few days ago, he was in such a bad mood that he forgot to ask the teacher why Xiao Wu's soul ring configuration could exceed the limit.
Unaware, Yu Xiaogang flashed a wise smile. This was his area of expertise.
"Good question. After years of research, I've found that the limit of the first soul ring is 423 years, and the second soul ring's limit is..."
Yu Xiaogang went on and on with a bunch of data, imagining that the students were admiring him.
However, he didn't notice that the little monsters were giving him strange looks, their gazes shifting between him and Xiao Wu.

Chapter 113: Preparing to Head to the Extreme North
Ning Rongrong, unable to tolerate Yu Xiaogang's endless monologue, raised her hand to interrupt his long-winded lecture.
"Teacher, where did you get all these soul ring limits from? As far as I know, you're only a 29th-level Great Soul Master. How could you have so many actual samples for reference?"
The Shrek members, who were unaware of the situation, instantly glared at Yu Xiaogang, their expressions filled with more disdain. They had expected that someone capable of teaching a student like Tang San would at least be a Soul Saint, but to their surprise, he was only a Great Soul Master.
Yu Xiaogang's face instantly darkened, but his years of experience allowed him to stay calm.
"Although my cultivation level is not high, my research on martial souls has reached a profound level. The limits of those soul rings are conclusions I derived from studying a vast number of books. My disciple, Tang San, has always absorbed soul rings according to my theory."
Hearing this, even Fatty could no longer hold back. "Teacher, you're claiming to have researched it, but you're just copying knowledge from books?!"
"Teacher, but our classmate Xiao Wu has a thousand-year second soul ring."
"What? That's impossible."
Ma Hongjun's words nearly shattered Yu Xiaogang's calm as he turned to look at his disciple Tang San in disbelief.
Under his incredulous gaze, Tang San slowly nodded.
It was a coincidence that Bibi Dong's martial soul was so ugly, and she never used it in front of him, so he didn't know her second soul ring was also purple. Otherwise, it would have been embarrassing for her.
Yu Xiaogang's face turned pale as he turned to look at Xiao Wu.
Xiao Wu smiled faintly, her martial soul enveloping her. Four soul rings—yellow, purple, purple, and black—appeared one after another, proving that what they had said was not a lie.
Seeing the undeniable truth, Yu Xiaogang took a few steps back, unable to accept it.
"This... this..."
Ma Hongjun, seeing the situation, added fuel to the fire.
"Teacher, I think you might as well stop training us. If I want to improve my soul ring age, I can just ask Sister Xiao Wu here."
Xiao Wu gave Fatty a knowing look, which made him even happier.
"Master, you can leave your methods for Tang San. I don't want a hundred-year soul ring on my third soul ring. Uh?"
Ma Hongjun, getting more and more excited, finally saw Tang San's murderous gaze, so he quickly shut his mouth.
"Poof!"
The words were already out, and the Shrek group couldn't help but laugh.
Yu Xiaogang trembled with rage, pointing at Ma Hongjun with one hand.
"You... you..."
He had expected that these geniuses wouldn't easily submit to him, but he never imagined they would directly embarrass him like this. "My disciple may have a weak third and fourth soul ring, but isn't it worth respecting that someone so young already has the cultivation of a Soul King?"
Ma Hongjun feared Tang San, but Dai Mubai wasn't afraid of him.
"Enough, Master. You can deceive us into paying for food, but don't delay our training. This broken circle, whoever wants to run, can run. I won't run."
After speaking, he directly left the training ground, and the others followed, exchanging looks before leaving as well.
Only Yu Xiaogang and Tang San were left, their expressions changing as they watched the others walk away.
"Damn, these people have a death wish."
Tang San gritted his teeth, thinking to himself, We have no grudges, why humiliate me like this?
After the others left, Yu Xiaogang, furious, couldn't hold back anymore. He spat out a mouthful of blood and fainted.
"Teacher!!"
After years of teacher-student bond, Tang San instinctively caught the falling Yu Xiaogang. However, the seed of darkness had already been planted in his heart.
"If I don't listen to my teacher's lessons, could I also have a thousand-year second soul ring?"
With a deep sigh, he realized that it was too late to change anything. He also had to think about his fifth soul ring.
He carried the unconscious Yu Xiaogang towards the academy's wooden house.
Leaving the training ground, Xiao Wu and Rongrong, who were planning to go to Soto City for a meal, were stopped by Zhu Zhuqing.
"Huh? Zhuqing, are you joining us?"
The little cat squeezed her fists and hesitated.
"Well..."
Xiao Wu and Rongrong looked at her in confusion.
"Zhuqing, just say it. If we can help, we won't refuse. After all, you stayed by my side when that ten-thousand-year soul beast attacked."
Rongrong, seeing her hesitation, spoke up generously.
Zhu Zhuqing seemed to have made up her mind and sighed deeply.
"Can you tell me how to obtain a soul ring that surpasses its limit?"
Xiao Wu and Rongrong exchanged glances. Ning Fengzhi had already stopped talking about Whale Gel, but of course, it couldn't be fully kept a secret. There were too many people in the sect who had used Whale Gel.
"As long as you regularly consume Whale Gel, it will improve your body strength. With the Qi Protector Pills unique to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, you'll be able to easily absorb soul rings that break through the limits."
Zhu Zhuqing looked at the two girls in shock. She never imagined it would be that simple.
As if understanding her thoughts, Rongrong took out a chunk of something black from her soul guide and threw it to Zhu Zhuqing.
Zhu Zhuqing hurriedly caught it, a pungent smell rising, but strangely, as a cat-type martial soul, she didn't find it unpleasant.
"Is this Whale Gel?"
"Yes."
"How much is it? I'll buy it from you."
Rongrong waved her hand generously.
"No need. Just consider it a reward for not abandoning me when that ten-thousand-year soul beast came."
After speaking, Rongrong took Xiao Wu's hand, and they walked toward the academy.
Zhu Zhuqing looked at their retreating figures, then at the Whale Gel in her hand, filled with emotion. This was a feeling she never experienced in the Star Luo Empire.
Just as she was about to return to her room to consume the Whale Gel, Xiao Wu and Rongrong hurriedly ran back.
"By the way, Zhuqing, you should take the Whale Gel little by little. Otherwise..."
Zhu Zhuqing looked at the two girls in confusion.
"Otherwise, what?"
The two girls' faces turned red as they remembered how they had overeaten when they consumed it.
"Well, just take it little by little. Once you eat it, you'll understand. Don't be greedy. Just melt it before consuming."
After speaking, the two girls sighed in relief and walked toward the academy. They didn't want to hear wild cats meowing all night.
Zhu Zhuqing looked at the Whale Gel in her hand with suspicion but didn't argue. She decided to follow their instructions, especially since they were both from a noble background and probably didn't want to deceive her.
The Sky Blue Bull Python, seeing the girls so easily divulge sect medicine information, stood on a tree, wanting to speak but stopping itself.
"Hey, when will Ning Bei come back? I miss the Pill Tower's second day."
Ning Bei, who was on his way back to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, sneezed suddenly.
"How strange, even a Soul Douluo can catch a cold?"
Returning to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, Ning Bei directly informed Ning Fengzhi, Jian, and Gu of his upcoming plans.
Gu Rong, looking worried, stared at him.
"Bei'er, don't you want me and Jianren to follow you? The Extreme North is one of the three forbidden zones of life. It will be very dangerous."
Although Ning Fengzhi and Chen Xin didn't speak, their faces revealed concern.
Ning Bei shook his head, feeling a little touched. They would always worry about his safety.
"No need. Father, Grandpa, I have Ah Bao and Er Ming to protect me. If anything happens, I can still leave. Not to mention, there's also Senior Di Tian's reverse scale, right?"
The others thought for a moment, realizing it was true, so they didn't say anything more, advising Ning Bei to be careful.

Chapter 114: Meeting Qian Renxue
At Shrek Academy, Flender looked helplessly at Yu Xiaogang, who was lying on the bed with a gloomy expression.
He had already learned from Tang San about what had happened. Flender hadn't expected these little monsters to be so disrespectful to Yu Xiaogang.
"Xiaogang, I'm sorry. It was my oversight."
"Hmph, these rotten wood pieces, even if they have good talent, so what? They are so difficult to teach, their potential is already doomed to be low."
"Uh..."
Flender knew that his old partner was in a bad mood, and he didn't know how to comfort him. He certainly couldn't say that making soul masters run around in circles for training was a bit childish.
"Sigh, rest well first. Once you recover, we can make plans. We can start with one-on-one soul duels. With your talents, it will be easy for you to help them analyze their soul skills. Once the kids are convinced, you'll be able to teach them more effectively."
Yu Xiaogang's expression softened a bit at these words. He didn't necessarily want to teach the students, but their talents were genuinely good. As Tang San's teammates, they were an excellent choice for participating in the Continental Elite Soul Master Tournament.
"I understand. After a few days, I'll arrange for them to have one-on-one soul duels."
"Great. Rest well."
After saying that, Flender left the wooden house and didn't disturb Yu Xiaogang's rest.
Yu Xiaogang's gaze wavered as he looked at the closed door, his fingers turning white as he clenched his fists.
"Once you help Tang San win the Soul Master Tournament, I won't bother teaching you disrespectful brats. Bibi Dong, I'll show you my capabilities."
Ning Bei, leaving the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, rented a luxurious Fanalil carriage for his journey to the Extreme North.
Along the way, he would pass through the Ling Dou Plains and the Jin Lan Plains before reaching the Northern Yuan Province. As an important city in the Northern Yuan Province, Tianshui City became a transit point for Ning Bei.
He planned to rest in Tianshui City before heading to Xueyue City, which was closer to the Extreme North.
His stop wasn't just for a rest; it was also not just to witness the famous Tianshui Academy.
Looking at the vast and green Ling Dou Plains, Ning Bei finally understood why the Star Luo Empire always thought about attacking the Heaven Dou Empire. With such fertile land everywhere, who wouldn't want it?
As he passed by several towns, Ning Bei didn't stop, continuing his journey for three days before finally reaching the gates of Tianshui City.
"Ugh, Tianmeng, your hometown is ridiculously far."
"Of course, it's in the Extreme North. Do you understand what 'Extreme North' means?"
Ning Bei nodded, feeling the temperature drop as they got closer to the Extreme North. However, for someone with Soul Douluo strength like him, the chill was nothing to worry about.
"We'll rest here for a day and then continue towards Xueyue City. It's not far from the Extreme North."
"Do as you wish. I've been through millions of years, so I'm not in a rush."
"By the way, is that big scorpion really that attractive to you?"
"Cough, cough, what big scorpion? Bing'er is the Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion, translucent and crystal clear. It's for admiring from afar, not..."
"Alright, alright, I get it."
Seeing Tianmeng's goofy expression in his mind, Ning Bei immediately interrupted his thoughts.
"Tsk, you don't understand how to appreciate it."
"I admire your steel hammer. Is it that my Yan isn't fragrant, or my little angel isn't beautiful? Why would I look at a big-tailed scorpion?"
Ignoring Tianmeng's muttering, Ning Bei instructed the coachman to drive the carriage towards the city.
Before long, they arrived near an inn. Ning Bei decided to treat himself to a meal since he had been eating only dry rations and snacks along the way.
He got off the carriage alone, ready to enter the inn, when he collided with a group of people.
Looking up at the golden-haired figure in front of him, Ning Bei was stunned.
"What are you doing here?"
"Bad, Ning Bei?"
In the private room on the second floor of the inn, Ning Bei stared at the figure before him dressed as Xue Qinghe—Qian Renxue—who sneered.
"Speak. How did you end up here?"
"Hmph, I should be the one asking you. I was sent by Emperor Xueye to Xueyue City to visit the border generals."
"As for you, aren't you supposed to be hugging your little poison girl at home? Why'd you come all the way to Tianshui City? Are you planning to see the beauties of Tianshui Academy?"
Ning Bei sniffed the air, looking around.
Qian Renxue, confused, stared at him.
"Hey, you smelly guy, what are you sniffing?"
"I'm trying to find out who spilled their vinegar jar. It's so sour!"
He quickly turned his head to dodge the flying teacup.
With a "thud," the teacup grazed Ning Bei's temple and smashed against the wall.
"Look at you. You can't even joke anymore without getting violent."
"Hmph, if you keep talking, it won't just be about violence. I'll let you taste my Angelic Holy Sword."
Qian Renxue's face flushed slightly, her eyes narrowed with mock fury.
"Alright, alright. I won't say anything anymore. Let's eat. I'm starving."
Watching Ning Bei eat heartily without responding to her, Qian Renxue pouted.
"Hey, you still haven't told me what you're doing in Tianshui City?"
"Looking at beauties. Didn't you already say that?"
"You—"
"Alright, no more jokes. I didn't come here specifically for Tianshui City. After resting for a day, I need to head to Xueyue City."
Qian Renxue looked at Ning Bei with some doubt upon hearing his destination.
"Xueyue City? That's a dangerous place. Why are you going there?"
"Why do you care so much? Do you think I'm your grandfather's son-in-law?"
The sound of broken tableware echoed in the private room. Soon, the door opened, and Ning Bei rushed out of the inn, telling the waiter to charge the meal to the little angel.
The prince's attendants were left confused as they watched Xue Qinghe walk out of the private room, unsure of what had just happened.
Realizing she had acted out of character, Qian Renxue quickly cleared her throat.
"Ahem, well, I guess we're almost done resting. Let's head out."
"Yes."
Watching her attendants leave, Qian Renxue inwardly cursed Ning Bei for being so irritating. "When I can beat him, I'll make him pay."

Chapter 115: The Ice Emperor
Sitting in the carriage, Ning Bei cursed himself for not being able to control his mouth. Now, he hadn't even seen the gates of Tianshui Academy, and he was already on his way.
He didn't know why, but every time he saw the little angel, he just wanted to tease her. He didn't act this way with other women.
As Ning Bei's thoughts drifted, he suddenly heard Tianmeng's mocking laughter in his mind.
"You really are hopeless. Your mouth is so bad, look at how you upset that little girl."
"Uh? You can see her true form?"
"Even though I'm a million-year-old spiritual soul beast, you think a mere 100,000-year soul bone's disguise can fool me?"
"That girl has a good temper. If it were Bing'er, she would have definitely given you a taste of the Ice Emperor's bite."
"She has a good temper? How did you figure that out? Have you been abused by the Ice Emperor?"
"You, single-celled larvae, dare to call me hopeless? I'm already in a relationship, and I can be a father any time."
"Where did this little girl come from? How blind is she?"
Seeing Tianmeng's clueless expression in his mind, Ning Bei gritted his teeth in frustration. Does he think I can't handle him just because he's a wisdom soul ring now?
"Sigh, I'm still hungry. Let's have a pill as a snack."
With that, a Clear Soul Pill appeared in his hand, and he was about to pop it into his mouth.
"Wait, what's this? Put that down!"
The aroma from the Clear Soul Pill made Tianmeng feel uncomfortable in his spiritual form. If he ate it, he'd be in trouble.
"It's not anything special, just a sixth-grade pill. Its effect is to clear out any soul power that doesn't belong to you."
"Doesn't belong to me? Why don't you just give me your ID card?"
"Sigh, Ning Bei, my little brother, I misspoke. What I meant was that little girl really has good taste. You, Ning Bei, have the aura of someone destined to become a god. She will surely benefit from that."
"That's more like it."
Hearing Tianmeng's flattery, Ning Bei happily put the Clear Soul Pill back into his storage.
"By the way, should we head straight into the depths of the Extreme North to find the Ice Emperor?"
"Yes, but we might need your little subordinates to help create some pressure, or else Bing'er might not take us seriously."
Ning Bei looked at Tianmeng in his mind with disdain. "You really know how to flatter yourself. What do you mean by 'she won't listen to us'? What normal person communicates with a plate of food?"
It seemed like Tianmeng understood his expression, and weakly added, "Well, Bing'er is still quite reasonable."
"Ha! If I didn't know what you were like, I might have believed you. You're hopeless. If there's a god of flattery position, no one would fight you for it."
A day later, the carriage smoothly stopped at the gates of Xueyue City. The coachman's breath had turned into mist, showing how cold the air was.
Ning Bei got off the carriage and instructed the coachman to find a place to stay, intending to rest before his business was done, and then have the coachman take him back.
After receiving a bag of Gold Soul Coins from Ning Bei, the coachman happily drove the carriage into the city.
Ning Bei planned to reward himself for his earlier frustration by eating some food, planning to continue the journey the next day.
While eating, Ning Bei noticed someone staring at him. It was one of the prince's attendants who he had met earlier in Tianshui City when he ran into Qian Renxue. He didn't care much, figuring it was just the woman's curiosity.
After finishing his meal, he found a hotel and decided to stay there for the night.
The attendant waited until Ning Bei's figure disappeared from view before leaving.
The next morning, after a good rest, Ning Bei had fully recovered and adjusted to his peak condition. He left Xueyue City and traveled northward for nearly a hundred kilometers. A snow-covered forest finally appeared before him, with a prominent warning sign nearby.
"Extreme North, Human Forbidden Zone, Soul Beasts roam, danger, danger, danger!"
Looking at the large words on the warning sign, Ning Bei clicked his tongue in wonder. The people of Douluo Continent repeat important things three times?
Using his mental power, he scanned behind him and sighed secretly.
"Tsk, what a curious woman."
She hadn't even brought the two generals along.
Not bothering with her, he decided that if danger came, he would just help her out. He skillfully summoned the Dan Tower, and Er Ming and Ah Bao appeared at his side.
The two beasts, just out of the Dan Tower, sneezed from the cold air.
"Achoo! Ning Bei, brother, you're going to the Extreme North?"
Ah Bao , who had little experience, looked at his big brother in confusion.
"That's right. We have some business to discuss with the Ice Emperor. I'll need your help soon."
"No problem. I've got it covered," Er Ming said, pounding his chest confidently. Ah Bao nodded and led the way in front of Ning Bei.
As the trio entered the forest, Tianmeng's figure, now unmasked, appeared, his eyes filled with curiosity.
"Not Sword and Bone, but is it a god behind him, protecting him?"
Without hesitation, he followed Ning Bei's footsteps into the depths of the forest.
Ning Bei and his companions walked deep into the Extreme North for half a day, encountering several ice-type soul beasts along the way, which were easily scared off by Er Ming and Ah Bao releasing their pressure.
Feeling that they had reached a good spot, Ning Bei began communicating with Tianmeng.
"Tianmeng, is this about right?"
Tianmeng, controlling his mental power, scanned the surroundings and nodded.
"Yes, this is fine."
Ning Bei summoned the Dan Tower. Eight soul rings emerged, and the red soul ring with four golden markings began to glow, soon becoming a golden soul ring.
The soul ring separated into six golden light orbs, which were Tianmeng's sealed soul power, and the remaining four layers formed Ning Bei's soul rings.
The golden light gathered in front of him, and soon, a figure resembling Ning Bei appeared before him.
Without paying attention to his companions, the golden figure immediately shouted toward the distance.
"Ice Emperor, do you feel my Tianmeng's presence? Come out!"
In less than half a minute, a fierce storm erupted, turning the entire sky a greenish-blue.
"Tianmeng, you're still alive. Truly, the longest-living being in the Extreme North."
"Hahaha, if you haven't died, how could I leave alone? I still want to be your companion!"
"Tianmeng, you seek death."
Before Tianmeng could finish his sentence, the air around the group grew even colder, and the sky shifted from blue to dark green, full of killing intent, sending a chill down their spines.
Er Ming and Ah Bao 's faces changed drastically as they had no idea that such a terrifying existence existed in the Extreme North.
The two beasts quickly transformed into their true forms—A Dark Gold Fearsome Claw Bear and a Titan Giant Ape, each over twenty meters tall, appeared in front of Ning Bei.
"Eh, why are these soul beasts here in the Extreme North?"
A flash of blue light passed in front of them, and a scorpion about one and a half meters long appeared before them.
The scorpion's body was translucent, like crystal, emitting a glow, and its long stinger glistened with an eerie light, making one shiver.
