The Curse Tree squinted its eyes and snorted coldly: "Do you think this old one wants to be here? After finally reaching the Second Layer of Cursed Land, I've had to return here because of the turmoil caused by this Nine Netherworld Phoenix."
"Return?"
Ye Xuan chuckled: "Weren't you elsewhere back then?"
The Curse Tree tilted the corners of its mouth, peeved, saying: "Enough nonsense, what are you doing here at this time?"
As they spoke, the Curse Tree kept sizing up Ye Xuan.
Seemingly trying to discern something.
"Stop looking."
Ye Xuan smirked slightly: "The soul of the Nine Netherworld Phoenix is no more."
