------------

I have no clue what the last two are... Unlike the Speed Force users, Sage Force users and Strength Force users who are natural born metahumans, Still Force users only get their abilities by comprehending it. Adding the lowest compression rate to it, nothing much was known about it.

Samuel, had managed to find his attributes with the help of his system, so I didn't write how the other Still Force users found their.

There was much to the Still Force that I didn't know. Plus knowing that attributes go both ways, giving their users gifts or curses, made me worry even more.

Alfred was cursed with immortality after he found his attribute... I didn't know what to do.

However, experimenting of the Syndicate members was quite fruitful. It gave me a few insights on how to use my abilities more proficiently.

The small lightning bolts that I made by circulating the lightning inside of my body could be enhanced with the will of the Sage Force, turning it into a weapon that could pierce through an A rank's defences.

Makes me wonder how I am still stuck at C rank...

As I was wondering how to improve my abilities further a blue colored lightning covered my body, warping it to a location I have never been to.

'What the fuck...' I didn't understand what just happened, someone or 'something' just teleported me all of a sudden.

The space I was in, was filled with streams of white lightning, it's as if it was made of pure Speed Force energy.

Is this some kind of extraterrestrial realm built by the Speed Force? Why would she teleport me here all of a sudden?

"Hello, Ray," a familiar voice came from my back, startling me.

Ack!

"I told you to stop doing that! Why do you always keep popping up behind me?" I asked stepping two steps away from her. It was as I expected, mother was the one who teleported me here.

"I don't understand, does it bother you if I do so?" she asked like a child.

Although she was millions of years old according to Earth's calendar, she still resembled a child sometimes. Unlike Ryuk who has regular interaction with humans and other such life forms, mother only interacts with speedsters, and she does that rarely, maybe once in a century or something.

I tried my best to teach her some earthly things but she tends forget about them or not understand the point of it. She is a overgrown child!

"... Nevermind, why did you kidnap me all of a sudden? I didn't do anything wrong, right?" I asked, lowering my head and preparing myself for a scolding.

Whenever I screwed up the timeline, she would teleport to me and stop the flow of time to give me a scolding, fix my mistakes and return to her realm.

Pat

However, instead of a scolding... What I got was a gentle pat on the head... I didn't expect that.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Stabilizing your temporal aura, I don't know what you did but don't do it again... You could die if you let it run rampant again," she said.

I felt a slight jolt of lightning energizing my cells as she removed her hand. It felt like I could use my will more freely and my body felt unburdened.

"What happened to my temporal aura? I don't remember messing with it in any way," I questioned. Although I had already guessed the answer, I wanted to make sure it's as I think it is.

"Your temporal aura, might have been affected by the time loop created by those two... I will teleport you back to when the time loop ends," she answered.

"Wait wai-"

Before I could stop her, I found myself back in my room.

"Bloody hell..." I cursed out loud. I took a look at my watch, confirming that I was out of the loop.

"Why are you cursing all of a sudden?" a familiar voice rung in my ears, it was Ryuk. I can't say I didn't miss him but it wasn't the time for a reunion.

I didn't want this time to come so soon... Sadly it's time to execute my plan...

"Mother... I know you are hearing this. Please do me a favour this one time... Stop the flow of time for an hour... I just want to say goodbye to someone," I said, as I felt the time around me stop completely.

"What are you upto this time? Did you come up with some new plans to torture Samuel?" Ryuk asked.

"Yes, I did but, this one is as painful for me as it is for him," I answered, walking out of my room and rushing to Samuel's room.

... This time I didn't knock the door, just phased though it.

I saw Samuel sitting on his bed, frozen completely. On his other side of the room was John, sitting up on his bed and chatting away with his new friend. He had bandages wrapped around his head and arms, it was almost red due to the blood spurting out from his wounds.

I walked closer to John and sat down beside him.

"I know you can't hear what I am about to say... Not that I wanted you to hear it... You know I never really had a brother in my past life... Heck I didn't even want one at a certain point but it pained my heart to not be able to experience that brotherly bond... However, in this life I knew that I didn't need one... John... You showed me what it's like to have a brother... Believe me... If I had a different choice I wouldn't resort to this but... I have to," I said.

I put my right hand on John's head and used mind imprint on him.

"Forget about me, forget everything... Start a new life, when the time comes... I will make you remember everything," I said, as I removed my hand and walked away from him, out of the room.

"Was that necessary?" Ryuk asked. As much as he wanted to question me about the Sage Force energy, that I implanted within John, he didn't. Instead he asked a question that he deemed was necessary to ask first.

"For my plan to succeed... Yes, it was. I don't just want to create a new story... I want the protagonist to suffer and for that I need him to experience the feelings of betrayal in such a way that he won't see it coming. To do that, this was a necessity," I answered.

"What are you going to say to Alfred? Or, even Sylvia, I don't think Tommy will ask for an explanation..." Ryuk stated.

"I have an answer for them, don't worry..." I said, wiping off my eyes.

"It's not wrong for a man to cry sometimes, you know? You just lost someone close to you... No one will blame you for letting go of that pain," Ryuk said, as I walked into my room.

... I didn't realise that tears had started dropping from my eyes, blurring my vision.

"I am sorry... I am so sorry, there is nothing I can do to end this... I have to finish what I started... I-I didn't have a choice..."
