Aeryon knows that if his wife take over Utgard, then the battle between East and west would start almost immediately
Dama probably would not want such war. And Aeryon also did not want such war. but sometimes, there are things beyond their control
If Utgard is under the Brolgadhr tribe, whether Dama wanted to or not, he would attack. It would be too close and the tribes that supported Dama would surely could not sleep a night with a tiger sitting beside them
And if Dama attack, Aeryon even if he wanted to deescalate could not. He would be forced to attack
If he did not attack, this is a sign of weakness. Even though right now it almost seem like he secure, as longas the momentum is lost, then there is always a chance for something unexpected to happen
And something unexpected happening is not something that Aeryon wanted
