The night guard captain hesitated to say but then he takes a breath and reveal to him what is happening outside
"There is someone outside is challenging my lord"
Aeryon frowned.
"Challenging me?"
If this was any other times, Aeryon would have accepted this duel in a heartbeat.
After all, this is not the first time he duels the warriors of the tribes. Most tribes surrender after their best warriors was defeated.
It is also a way for him to command the warriors. A chief that could not fight, could not win the admiration of their people.
In some other cultures, not being able to fight does not mean they are unable to lead.
Some uses scholars to command the soldiers; some uses senators and orders of the emperor to command the soldiers.
But in the Steppe, only those who could lead them to battle and win could win the admiration of the arrogant warriors of the Steppe.
