"Well, Derek is a kind guy."
Zion actually had no intention of defending Derek, but after seeing the way Suga's brows had furrowed, he knew Suga was probably genuinely worried about Ashley. That left him with little choice but to say something he would never willingly say about anyone else.
"He's well-off, an alpha, and the kind of guy who's stable, with a clean record. So I think he can take care of Ashley. That's better than having some asshole alpha getting close to Ashley, isn't it?"
Hearing that, Suga fell silent for a moment. He took another sip of alcohol while staring at the fairly strong waves crashing against the shore, his brows still drawn together as he considered what Zion had said.
It did make sense. Derek had been an annoying man when Suga was at IHPS, but he wasn't someone who could exactly be categorized as a bastard alpha. In fact, Derek's reputation at IHPS had been excellent, and he had been one of the instructors who was highly admired back then.
