BOOM.
A thunderous explosion echoed from a distance, shaking the ground as if the earth itself had moved. Suga, who had been eating, immediately set his spoon down.
Was that an earthquake? he wondered. But then another blast, louder than the last roared through the air. Noise erupted outside, chaotic and growing, and soon the sound of gunfire rang out— coming from two directions.
Panic rising in his chest, Suga rushed to peek out the window. But before he could pull back the curtain, he jolted with a gasp, nearly crying out when his door burst open with a heavy slam.
"Suga, we have to go. Now."
"Go where—"
Standing in the doorway was Ricky, gripping a short-barreled rifle. Suga swallowed hard at the sight, a mix of fear and confusion churning in his gut.
"What the hell is going on?! What's happening?!"
"This island's basically a war field at this point, so just stay close and follow me."
"What about the people outside? The guards—"
