"Mama, what does my dada look like? Is he handsome like you?"
Lying on Yuzhen's lap, Yuan once asked curiously about the father he had never seen.
"Your dad… he was the most handsome man I ever saw," Yuzhen whispered, gently stroking her son's hair. "He had a strong body, silky black hair, and ocean-blue eyes—just like my baby."
Yuan's little face lit up. "That means Yuan's dada is super handsome!"
Yuzhen smiled, though sadness dimmed his eyes. "Of course. There's no one in the world who could ever compare with him."
"But Mama," Yuan continued, "Aunt Zera said there are lots of handsome men in the human world with the same eyes and hair. How will Yuan recognize Dada?"
Yuzhen's smile deepened as he touched her son's chest. "It isn't always about looks, little one. We can also feel with our hearts. When your dada stands beside you, your heart will let you know. With him, you'll feel safe and protected no matter what."
