Shocked, Seraphina stood rooted to the ground, eyes wild in bewilderment.
What just happened now?! She questioned herself, looking up at the sky, noting how everything had gone quiet after the loud rumble of thunder.
She had wished for thunder to strike and in the next minute, it had happened. What are the chances? She thought to herself. This is all a coincidence, nothing to it. She told herself and began to walk inside the house.
The time of the soiree neared faster than Seraphina could count the hour hand of the clock.
Wearing a light purple dress with a silver shrill on it, her hair was held together in braid by the sides, pins securely holding a few strand while a feed dance on her face. Next, her mother Lydia came down, head held high as she voiced,
"Today, people will swoon all over me as the news has already gotten to everyone."
"News? What news?" Unsure of which news Lydia spoke of, Seraphina turned her head in her mother's direction.
