It didn't matter how sharp the lighting was, how expensive the lens, how much editing magic had been poured into every pixel, he still did a double take when he passed a billboard and saw his own eyes looking back at him, cold and sharp, mouth curved in that half-smile that somehow became his signature. Not friendly. Not smug. Just there. Unshakable.
He crossed the street and felt it again, his own face three stories tall on the side of a glass building, dressed in a tailored black coat with gold trim, wrist raised just enough to show off the new limited-edition luxury watch. The tagline underneath was simple.
"Power Wears Time."
Yeah, subtle.
Across the avenue, another ad. Different campaign. Same guy. This time it was the new Goldborne Arcus-9 phone, sleek, chrome-silver in his hand, the background glowing with dark city lights and hex-coded UI.
