Death didn't scare me
Why, you ask? simply because I had nothing to lose anymore, no family members to care, no money and no power.
I had absolutely nothing, so death didn't feel as oppressive as it may seem.
But unfortunately, even death was a luxury for me.
That's how I found my self in an extremely luxurious hall, very grand I might add, beautiful and strange creatures everywhere
Fascinated are you,
Well get in line.
Then suddenly an angelic looking man walked up to me and asked.
" And who might you be?"
I thought of how this may have been those judgment shenanigans they preached about considering how many atrocities I committed, I was very tempted to introduce myself as a " stormblade" but I decided against it,not only due to my impeccable moral but mostly because I'm certain that I would be caught and punished.
So being the upright noble of integrity that I am, I introduce myself humbly and honestly.
"This great lord is known as Lucien Thorneveil. I am glad to grace your presence. " I said nodding in satisfaction
Humble and brief. That should do it. He didn't notice the strained smile or the slight twitch of the angelic man's eyebrows .
Even if he did he might not have cared.
"Ooh Thorneveil, the upper Chambers have been expecting you, please follow me " the angelic looking man said while moving forward.
But funnily enough, I didn't move
" Do you have problem, Mr. Thorneveil ?"
the angelic looking man asked politely
Lucien stared at the man with an unreadable expression, then calmly replied
" you don't expect me to follow, do you?
I don't even know where I am currently, don't know your name, don't even know where you were planning on taking me to, so my apologies for not trusting you enough to blindly follow you"
The angelic man pupils dilated and seem to have recalled something before hastily saying
" My sincere apologies, You are currently dead" he began, I almost couldn't help rolling my eyes at the obvious statement but he continued "You are currently in the blessings sanctuary, I am your guide Elyraeth
Guardian of dreams.
"Pretty name " I unconsciously blurted out.
He seemed shocked my admission but beamed beautifully.
"Thank you ".
I glanced at him and reluctantly sighed.
" Thank you for the clarification but I'm still not comfortable meeting with your high chamber " I said cooly
"You mean upper Chamber " the pretty named angel corrected.
"same thing" I calmly replied.
He furrowed his eyebrows, seemingly put in a difficult situation.
I continued calmly
" But I will follow you due to the fact that you are beautiful and have a pretty name "
I honestly had nothing else to do, I'm practically dead, so...
The angelic looking man smiled very softly, seemingly very happy about my decision, I couldn't help but internally sigh, beautiful people were a hassle, smiling so brightly, who is he trying to impress .
"Shall we go on then" he asked politely while moving forward
I nodded nonchalantly and quietly followed him.
Dead, huh? You'd think death would come with silence. Maybe peace. But here I was, walking behind a man with a name that sounded like stardust and a smile too bright to be trusted. And the worst part? I didn't hate it.
Maybe because I was bored or simply just curious about this seemingly very important upper Chamber .
We walked quietly down the hall to be met with a luxurious stairs, even I don't seem to recognize the material it was made with, gorgeous as it was, it was not obnoxious in the slightest, very elegant I might add.
I nodded in fascination, they clearly understood the balance between luxury and elegance. After making our way up the stairs the corridor we walked through pulsed faintly—its marble floor veined with glowing silver, like lightning caught in stone. Statues whispered as we passed. I didn't care for their secrets. I had enough of my own.
We arrived at a massive door built of the same unrecognizable material.
Elyraeth then turned to meet me with a soft gaze, motioning me to move closer to his side, but I'm not stupid enough to do that.
He might be fine, sure —but not that fine that I would foolishly trust him.
He seemed to notice my reluctance.
I never expected the seemingly gentle angel to drag me towards himself, I was stunned. He pushed me towards his chest, before I could scream bloody murder he started to glow and everything went white, by the time I got myself he had already let go of me and gave a polite distance.
I finally got a semblance of reasoning and looked around only to discover that we are at the other side of the door.

Thamriel sharp and commanding; perhaps a militant or judge angel
and Velmora an angel of mercy and compassion were in a deep conversation.
"What if refuses to cooperate, we can't force him " velmora considered softly.
" He must, if he wants a chance for a rebirth to correct all his mistake unless he will be punished as due.
Velmora nodded in understanding.
They suddenly heard footsteps, only mortal souls footsteps could be heard, so that could only mean, their guest has arrived .
Just as they came to that conclusion, they looked up to be met with two different gaze, one warm and guilty, the latter calm and indifferent.
Lucien Thorneveil the topic of their discussion looked at them with a calm gaze, there was only a trace of shock before he regained his tranquil expression.
They were both stunned, even the strongest of mortals will basks in their glory, even a little admiration will do but no.
Absolutely nothing.
Just a calm gaze with no ripple.
Thamriel immediately took charge
" Lucien Thorneveil do you know why you have been summoned "
The young man looked at her blankly and shook his head.
"You were accused of so many vile atrocities in your world, you have been found guilty of each and every one them."
"You will therefore be punished accordingly unless you wish for a rebirth but it comes at a price." thamriel concluded only to see a thumbs up by velmora.
Elyraeth looked at them as they spoke to each other using their gaze and was both helpless and amuse, he looked at his side to see his uniquely captivating host, he learnt on their journey he was a deep thinker but not much a talker, very prideful but not overbearing, polite but not in anyway nice.
He watched him now, curious as to how this enigma might respond. Unlike Thamriel or Velmora, Elyraeth harbored no illusions—this one would not walk willingly into any scheme, no matter how finely spun.
