Chapter 272 - 00271. Ezekiel created a...

Hela followed the directions on her phone as she turned and walked into a narrow alleyway. She hummed a melody while a tiny smile tugged at her lips as she thought about her destination and the object she was about to collect. It was a rare Gundam model, one of only a hundred or so made and still sealed in almost mint condition. She had found it through an online trading group she joined a while back and one of the best places to find rare models.

In the Gundam model scene, Hela wasn't the most popular, but still semi famous. While the models she built and painted were good and improving with each completed build. Hela was more famous for being a good looking woman in the hobby and also connected to Ezekiel and Tony. Her main Vibe profile was filled with Gundam builds, anime, fan art she liked, memes and a handful of pictures of herself and Ezekiel. It was the same profile she linked to the trading platform so it was easier for her to contact people when trying to purchase models.

When Hela first arrived on Earth, she wasn't completely sure about the place and only stayed because of Ezekiel. He was also her only friend at the time and she had nothing else to do. Sure she wanted to get revenge against her father, but as a god she wasn't in a rush. So Hela settled into a new life that in retrospect was a lot more fulfilling then her old one. During that time she adapted quickly to how the world worked and it was also the reason she had such an active Vibe account.

Hela cast one more glance at her phone before she put it away and moved towards the indicated address. She passed a couple of buildings before she spotted the door where the seller was located. Besides the paint being slightly faded, the building number was legible and there was a brand new doorbell installed. Hela stopped at the door and rang the doorbell to wait before a buzzer sounded and the door unlocked for her.

After Hela stepped inside and closed the door, she felt a slightly strange sensation active around her. Hela couldn't really tell what it was but it felt like some kinda suppression on her body, but didn't seem to actually do anything to her. Hela shrugged off the feeling and walked down a hallway until she reached an open door and found a thin, black haired, middle aged man seated behind a desk. Hela glanced over the room as she ignored the man and when didn't see the model kit she came for asked, "Where is it?"

The man glanced up from his computer and studied Hela for a moment before he stood while he pointed to a side door and said, "In the warehouse, follow me."

The man opened the door to rows of shelving lined up and filled with merchandise. He led her to one of the large metal racks and walked about halfway before he stopped at a specific row. In front of them was a clear plastic bin with two items stored inside of it that the man reached for. When he opened the lid, Hela found two copies of the model she was looking for, one was sealed and the other was mostly sealed but damaged.

Hela almost reached for the first one before she stopped herself and asked, "How much for the other one?"

"It's already pending sale."

"I'll pay the same price as the sealed one if you sell it to me today."

The man didn't even think about it as he pulled out both kits and handed them over while he said, "Pleasure doing business with you."

After putting the bin away and the man collecting payment in the office, Hela then stored the two model kits into a modified storage seal Ezekiel created for her after she left the office. Once out of the warehouse, the strange suppressive feeling didn't go away but only grew stronger. It still didn't affect her in any way, although with the increased pressure it was slightly annoying to feel. As for where it was coming from, Hela couldn't tell since it surrounded her completely.

Hela's mouth showed the tiniest hint of a frown as she walked away from the warehouse and into an alleyway since the pressure only increased with each step. When she stepped out of the alley and into an open area, Hela noticed no one around even though people were working in the area just minutes ago. Hela never stopped even though she knew something was wrong and moved through the open area. When Hela reached the middle of the area people in tactical gear and guns poured into the empty space from every entrance.

One of the men rushed forward from the semi circle in front of her with his gun trained on Hela as he commanded, "Hands in the air, now!"

Hela stared at the man with a hint of annoyance in her eyes before she glanced around at the people surrounding her. The main group of twenty people were in front of her with the other twenty split into groups at each entrance to the area. When Hela didn't respond the led man called out, "She isn't cooperating, shoot her with the tranquilizers."

The sound of compressed air burst from a handful of weapons before a handful of darts slammed into a shimmering shield of light that appeared in front of Hela. As they fell to the ground at Hela's feet another man said, "Her powers are still active, increase the power of the suppression device."

Hela felt the suppressive force double a moment later before another round of tranquilizers crashed harmlessly against her protective shield. Before they even fell to the ground the man who seemed to be in charge said, "Switch to live rounds and aim for her limbs to break the shield."

Gun fire erupted a moment later as a handful of bullets started to slam into her protective barrier near her feet with every shot aimed below her knees. Hela glanced down at the growing pile of flattened bullets on the ground before her eyes flashed with malice. Slowly Hela's head tilted back with her nose slightly pointed upwards before she said in a supremely arrogant tone.

"You."

"Filthy."

"Mongrels!"

With each word power radiated from Hela before it exploded from her and forced the closest people backwards while hundreds of black swords appeared in a dense wall around her. The people panicked as they all opened fire on her without bothering to aim until the blades shot out in retaliation. Every person in the area was sent flying as the black blades pierced their shoulders and flung them away from Hela. Within seconds every single person was pinned to a wall screaming as the blades inside of them slowly twisted.

Hela didn't spare a single one of them a second glance as she disappeared from view. A moment later she stood on a roof top not far away and looked at the man there calmly eating an otter pop. A faint hint of a smile started forming on her face before the man said, "You're a weeaboo."

Hela instantly smacked the man's shoulder as she glanced down at the portal and the people pouring out of it. As the people who attacked her were pulled off of the swords, the man offered her the rest of the otter pop and said, "Once we find out who sent them and why, I'll let you know."

Hela paused for a moment as she glanced at the offered treat and then at the man's lips before a faint hint of red tinged her cheeks. A second later the otter pop was in her hand before she turned slightly away from the man, took a tentative lick and said, "Good."

As Hela ate the otter pop she watched the clean up operation before she asked, "Do you wanna go eat lunch?"

"Pizza?"

"You always want pizza…"

Ezekiel shrugged helplessly as he said, "I can't help it, I'm pretty sure it's baked into my biology that I can't turn down good pizza even if I'm not hungry."

"Well I don't want pizza today."

"Tacos?"

"I don't want that either…"

"There's a good sandwich shop Tao told me about last week, it should still be open." Ezekiel said as he pulled out his phone and checked the time difference.

"I don't feel like eating a sandwich."

Ezekiel rolled his eyes before he asked, "Then what do you want to eat?"

"Ramen."

"Fucking weeb…" Ezekiel said as he shook his head and opened up a portal in front of them.

"Jerk."

Hela playfully pushed Ezekiel before she moved through the portal and he followed behind her. They stepped out into the special portal area in front of Hulk's home on Genosha. Instead of heading towards the restaurant, Ezekiel knocked on Hulk's door to check if he was home. After a minute or so, the door opened to reveal Hulk in only a pair of gym shorts with a severe case of bed head. He rubbed his eyes as he mumbled half asleep, "What you want?"

"We're gonna go eat ramen, do you wanna join us?"

"Sure!" Hulk said as he started to step outside and Ezekiel stopped him before he pointed towards the house and said, "Go put on some clothes first and comb your hair."

Hulk glanced down at himself before he shrugged and disappeared back inside and came out a few minutes later. His hair was now fixed, even though it only looked like he ran his hands through it a couple of times. His black gym shorts were still there along with a black tank top that read, 'Welcome to the gun show!' His outfit was completed with mirrored aviators and a pair of black sandals.

Ezekiel glanced Hulk over for a moment and chuckled as he said, "You definitely have your own style now… Even though it makes you look like a frat boy on spring break."

Hulk grunted in response as they started walking towards the public transport station. It was late at night but Genosha was a twenty-four hour island so a small electric transport arrived a few minutes after the service button was pushed. Once inside the driverless vehicle, Ezekiel tapped the screen and selected the destination before they were driven towards the only ramen spot on the island.

The brief ride was mostly quiet with the silence only broken by Hulk yawning. The vehicle stopped in front of what could best be described as a typical Japanese ramen stall. At least from the outside that is what it looked like, but once you stepped past the low hanging curtains it opened into a proper restaurant. There was still a traditional bar area shaped like a thin horseshoe in the middle of the place where people could sit and eat.

It actually started at each wall and almost came together before each bar turned and moved almost to the front of the building and connected properly. Inside of the horseshoe was an area designed for the staff to move around and serve customers along with spots opened up so they could reach the rest of the restaurant. Besides the massive bar, there were tables and booths spread out to fill the rest of the dining area.

While not packed, the restaurant still held over twenty people spread out in groups or eating along the bar. Hela led the way to the bar and took a seat before a holographic display popped up in front of her a few moments later. Ezekiel sat on her left and Hulk sat next to Ezekiel before they each placed an order. Within a minute a waiter arrived with drinks and placed them down before they moved towards another customer with another drink.

Ezekiel, Hela and Hulk casually talked while they waited on their food. Well it was mostly Ezekiel and Hela since Hulk wasn't paying attention until Ezekiel's phone beeped with a message. When he pulled it out it quickly beeped with two more messages which he looked at as Hela asked, "Did they find out who it was?"

"It was Hydra."

Hela frowned slightly at the name before she asked, "Isn't that the same group you want to destroy?"

"Yeah… And apparently they were targeting you because of me."

"Idiots."

Ezekiel chuckled softly before he said, "That's only because they thought you were just a human or possibly a mutant. If they knew what you really were, they never would have acted."

Ezekiel frowned slightly as he typed back a message, 'Speed up the Hydra investigation, I want the complete network mapped before the end of the year.'

'Understood.' Was the single word reply before Ezekiel switched to check the next message and froze for a moment after which he finally said, "Apparently your brother is coming to Earth."

"My brother?"

Ezekiel nodded as he said, "Most likely, since his hammer just crashed landed in New Mexico about an hour ago."

Hela's frown deepened as she asked, "Are you sure?"

"About ninety percent… Even though I'm surprised it's happening since you escaping and beating your brothers should have changed things."

Ezekiel shook his head slightly and put his phone away as he said, "Whatever, if he's here I'll ask about what happened when I see him…"

"Do you wanna go see him?"
