Jaxon's heart pounded as he followed the beacon to the cave. He hoped it would lead him to the source of the signal he had received. When he arrived at the cave, he saw that it was blocked by a massive gate. The gate was adorned with strange markings that Jaxon didn't recognize, and he couldn't figure out how to open it. He tried several methods, but his lack of skill in puzzles proved to be his undoing.
Defeated, Jaxon returned to his ship and told S.A.M. about his failure. S.A.M. responded with its usual sarcastic tone, "Well, it's not like I expected anything else from you."
Jaxon sighed and asked, "Do you have any ideas on how to get through the gate?"
S.A.M. replied, "Why don't you ask the flax? They've been pretty friendly with us so far, maybe they know something about it."
Jaxon remembered the flax and their offer to help, so he decided to seek their assistance.
On arrival he enquired about the gate with strange markings.
"Excuse me, my friends. I have a favor to ask of you." Jaxon asked.
The flax turned to face him, their large eyes blinking in unison. "What can we do for you, Jaxon?" one of them asked.
"I followed the beacon that I detected, and it led me to a cave. At the end of the cave, there was a gate that seemed to lead to something beyond it. But I couldn't figure out how to get past it"
The flax exchanged a few glances and whispers amongst themselves, and then turned back to Jaxon. "We see. You require our assistance in deciphering the puzzle that guards the gate."
Jaxon nodded. "Yes, that's right. But unfortunately, I'm not very good at puzzles."
The flax made a few more clicks and whistles, and then one of them stepped forward. "There is one on this planet who may be able to help you. His name is Jago, an archeo-historian. He has a vast knowledge of the ancient civilizations that once thrived on our planet, and he may be able to provide you with the insight you need to solve the puzzle."
Jaxon looked at the flax in surprise. "Jago? Where can I find him?"
The flax turned to each other and exchanged a few more clicks and whistles. "Jago lives at the bottom of Mount Achgo, but getting there is no easy task. The only mode of transportation that can navigate the treacherous terrain is a snow fox. However, we can provide you a map of the region and a snow fox ."
Jaxon was relieved to hear this. "Thank you so much! Can I leave my ship in your hands until I return?" Jaxon asked.
The flax nodded In agreement. "Sure. No problem. We will do our best to keep it safe, Jaxon. Good luck on your journey."
And with that Jaxon climbed on board the snow fox and starting his journey to find Jago.
As Jaxon traveled to Mount Achgo, he passed through some of the most iconic and breathtaking landscapes he had ever seen. The first place he encountered was a vast open plain with grass that seemed to glow in the sunlight. The grass was so tall that it reached his waist and swayed gently in the breeze, creating a wave-like motion that spread out as far as the eye could see. The plain was dotted with bright yellow flowers, which added to the serene beauty of the landscape. Jaxon had never seen anything like it before and took a moment to just stand and take it all in.
As he continued on his journey, he came across a crystal-clear lake that sparkled like diamonds in the sun. The water was so clear that he could see all the way to the bottom, where schools of brightly colored fish swam lazily. The lake was surrounded by towering trees with leaves that were a deep shade of green, and as he walked along the shoreline, he heard the gentle sound of the water lapping against the rocks. It was a peaceful and tranquil place, and Jaxon couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over him.
Next, Jaxon came to a place that was unlike anything he had ever seen before. It was a forest filled with trees that seemed to be made of a bright, iridescent material. The trunks were a deep shade of blue, and the branches were covered in shimmering leaves that changed color with every gust of wind. Jaxon was awestruck by the sheer beauty of the place, and he couldn't resist the urge to touch the trees to see if they were real. To his surprise, they were, and they felt smooth to the touch.
As he made his way deeper into the forest, Jaxon came across a small waterfall that cascaded down the rocks in a gentle mist. The water was a bright shade of turquoise and flowed into a small pool that was surrounded by rocks of all shapes and sizes. Jaxon could feel the cool mist on his face as he stood In awe of the natural beauty of the place.
Finally, Jaxon came to a place that was both eerie and magnificent at the same time. It was a canyon that stretched out as far as the eye could see, with towering cliffs on either side that rose high into the sky. The walls of the canyon were made of a dark, almost black rock, which contrasted sharply with the bright blue sky. Jaxon could hear the sound of the wind as it whistled through the narrow space, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer size of the place.
As Jaxon journeyed through these iconic places, he felt like he was experiencing something truly special. Each one was unique and beautiful in its own way, and he knew that he would never forget the sights and sounds of this planet.
As Jaxon made his way towards Mount Achgo, he had to pass through a dense forest that was known to house some of the deadliest creatures on the planet. The Flax had warned him about the dangers of the forest and had given him a detailed description of the creatures that he might encounter on his journey.
Jaxon was riding his hoverbike at a cautious speed, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of danger. He had been traveling for a few hours when he heard what sounded like a woman's scream coming from somewhere in the forest.
Without wasting a single moment, Jaxon immediately rushed towards the source of the scream. As he got closer, he could see a group of creatures that looked like a hybrid of sabre-toothed cats and wolves surrounding a young woman.
Jaxon immediately pulled out his weapons, ready to fight the beasts and save the damsel in distress. But to his surprise, the young woman began to fight off the creatures with incredible precision and accuracy.
The first hybrid lunged towards her, but she was quicker, dodging the attack and slicing the beast across its midsection with her sword. The creature howled in pain and stumbled back, but its packmates closed in on her, snarling and snapping.
She then spun around, her sword flashing in the sunlight, as she slashed at the beasts with deadly precision. She moved with fluid grace, her movements honed through years of training, as she dispatched one beast after another.
Jaxon watched in awe as she fought, unable to believe his eyes. He had never seen anyone move so fast, or fight so ferociously. As the battle continued, he could see the sweat glistening on her forehead, and the strain on her face as she battled the creatures.
But despite the odds against her, she never faltered. She was a skilled fighter, and she knew how to use her weapon to its full potential. She leaped and spun, her sword slicing through the air, taking down each beast with ease.
Finally, the last hybrid lunged towards her, its jaws gaping wide. She waited until the last possible moment, then ducked and sliced the beast across its throat, severing its jugular. The creature fell to the ground with a sickening thud, and Astra stood, panting, amidst the bodies of her fallen foes.
As the dust settled and the woman caught her breath, she finally noticed Jaxon standing a few meters away from her, watching in awe. She immediately took a fighting stance, unsure whether he was friend or foe.
Jaxon quickly holstered his weapons and raised his hands as a sign of coming in peace.
"Hey, are you okay? I heard screaming and I came to see if everything was alright."
"I'm fine. Just a few beasts that got a little too close for comfort. Who are you and what are you doing here?"
"I'm Jaxon, a space explorer. I'm on my way to see Jago, the archeo-historian who lives at the bottom of Mount Achgo. I'm looking for some help with a puzzle."
"Jago, huh? I know where he lives. I'm heading in that direction myself. I can take you there."
Jaxon was relieved to hear this. He knew that navigating the dangerous forest alone would be a difficult task.
"Thank you so much. I would appreciate the help."
She nodded and started walking. Jaxon followed her, still feeling a little uneasy about her fighting skills.
"That was some impressive swordsmanship back there. What kind of beasts were those?"
"Those were Sabrewolves. They're hybrids of wolves and saber-toothed cats. They're one of the deadliest creatures in these parts."
"I can see why. You made quick work of them, though." Jaxon said. " I didn't catch your name?"
"Its Astra"
" It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance Astra" Jason said while bowing. " So you fighting style?"
"It's nothing. I've been training for years. My father taught me everything I know about combat."
"Your father? Who is he?"
Astra hesitated for a moment before answering.
"His name is Jago. He's an archeo-historian, just like you said. He's also my father."
Jaxon was taken back by this revelation. He had no idea that the fierce warrior in front of him was related to the man he was seeking.
"I had no idea. That's quite a coincidence. Do you live with him?"
"No, I don't. I travel around a lot, exploring the galaxy and fighting creatures like these. I only come to see my father when I need to rest and refuel."
"I see. Well, I'm glad we ran into each other. You seem like you'll be a valuable asset on this journey."
Astra nodded still looking a little guarded. She didn't seem to trust Jaxon completely yet.
"We'll see. I have my own reasons for going to see my father. I just hope we can both get what we need out of this trip."
" Why do you say that?"
" You'll found out soon enough."
Astra led Jaxon through the forest, and they arrived at Jago's place in no time.
As they emerged from the forest, Jaxon saw the imposing Mount Achgo rising up in the distance. He knew that he was getting closer to his destination and couldn't wait to finally meet Jago and get the help that he needed.
Astra led Jaxon to Jago's study, where he finally met the archeo-historian.
"Astra, what are you doing here? And who is this with you?" Jago asked, his tone laced with curiosity.
"I met him in the forest. He was on his way to find you, father," Astra replied.
Jago looked at the stranger, taking in his appearance. "And who are you?" he asked, his tone skeptical.
"My name is Jaxon. I'm a star explorer, and I'm here because I need your help," Jaxon replied.
Jago raised his eyebrows. "My help? And what kind of help do you need from an archeo-historian like me?"
"I'm trying to get into a cave, and I need someone who knows about puzzles to help me get in," Jaxon explained.
Jago nodded slowly. "I see. And why should I help you? What's in it for me?"
"I can pay you for your services," Jaxon said, hoping that would convince Jago.
Jago shook his head. "I'm not interested in your money. But I do have an errand that needs attending to. If you help me with that, then I will help you with your puzzle."
"What kind of errand?" Jaxon asked, curious.
"Well it's a ......"
