Hana continued walking for a while, careful not to stray too far from the cars. She could still see glimpses of the vehicles through the trees whenever she turned around, so she wasn't particularly worried.
After being trapped inside the cramped car for hours, she simply wanted a little space to stretch her legs and breathe properly.
Taking a deep breath, she looked around with a small smile. The forest was strangely peaceful. Sunlight filtered through the thick canopy overhead, painting shifting patches of gold across the moss-covered ground, while the faint rustling of leaves and occasional chirping of birds filled the otherwise quiet air.
It was almost beautiful.
Hana slowed down, glancing around with a small smile. She couldn't remember the last time she had been somewhere that looked so untouched.
