Chapter 24 - The Training Within The Two Weeks [2]

After handing out the scroll he took from the library, whom Anko received with a high degree of eagerness.

"If you have any troubles with your training, you can approach me and say it. Although I haven't trained on it yet like Asuma and Kakashi, I can point out a thing or two from my own perspective on the jutsu's concept."

Since they were training, Kajirama tamed his playfulness and acted serious, as one should be if they were going to be, it's just more productive that way. Mitarashi Anko seemed to also be influenced by his sudden change of temperament.

Hearing his considerate words, Anko dutifully nodded since they weren't anything to complain about, on the contrary, Anko felt taken care of with how Kajirama and his grandmother show her genuine attentiveness. It was an alien but not new feeling and Anko doesn't dislike it.

As she received the scroll from Kajirama, Anko grinned foolishly on the training ground while Kajirama looked on with a raised brow and a tilted head, wondering what got on to his friend.

With Anko all settled with her training, Kajirama got ready for his own.

Since he had already decided he would be training on his kenjutsu and chakra control for today, Kajirama put down his o-wakizashi which he usually carried with him whenever he would train and then started some warm up.

He always does this first and foremost before he started on doing physical activities, so that his blood flow would increase on his muscles and increase the rate of energy production. His grandparents always reminded him of doing this that it became engraved on his routine.

Seeing Kajirama doing this, Anko imitated him as they both helped each other stretched the fibers of their muscles.

After that, both of them began their respective training.

With Anko being at one side of the training ground practicing her jutsu, Kajirama comfortably got on the middle of the training ground.

He concluded he should train his chakra control first before doing some Kenjutsu training. With that in mind, he approached a tree, big enough for his small frame to perform 'Tree Climbing Practice'.

Placing his foot on the body of the tree, he maintained the Ram Seal with both hands so his chakra would travel much smoother on the sole of his feet. Additionally, it would make Kajirama concentrate more if he does this.

Meanwhile.

[Hidden Cloud Village]

Two shinobis of the [Hidden Cloud Village] were casually hiking the uneven and steep path outside the protruding naturally formed gate of the village, they seemed to have just come back from doing a mission and apparent from their attire, they should be chūnin-ranked shinobis.

"Kuso, if only you had seen the face of that Shimogakure kunoichi I did it with. That screaming whore was such a delight, hahaha."

"Tsk tsk tsk, stop braggin Uzai, you did it with only one? How weak, I did it with three!"

"How fake, with that ugly face of yours? At least make up something that's believable."

They seemed to be very satisfied with how their mission went with how they're in high-spirits, even though the content of their conversation seemed to be very unpleasant.

Both of the Kumo shinobi continued on their vile topic as they exchanged laughed and wore one of the nastiest perverted grins on their faces. When they were about twenty-something meters away from [Hidden Cloud Village]'s protruding gate, they suddenly heard the noise of clomping footsteps which made them abruptly pause on their hike when the sound entered their ears.

They exchanged glances, and within that brief silent communication they nodded in recognition, seemingly aware of one another's thoughts as they simultaneously backed off cautiously. They judged that, based on the footsteps coming from the direction of the noise, it could either be a person or a monkey.

There's two major points on why they acted with such apprehension even though they are within the vicinity of their village. One, because they are aware of the ongoing conflict with the numerous hidden villages happening across the elemental nation which was alerted to all shinobis of their village and to remind them to act cautiously and lastly, because of the geography of [The Land of Lightning], one wouldn't usually find any species of simian mammals inhabiting the nation because of the lack of greenery, except for the Saki Monkeys and a few, however, the habitats near the village was disposed of long ago since the founding of [Hidden Cloud].

The two chūnin, bearing a high-rank as shinobis obviously knew of this, which was why this set up alarm bells on their minds. At any other day they would have just brush it off, but given the situation of conflict the elemental nation has right now, they couldn't risk it even if they are very close to the village's proximity.

The man named Kuso surveyed the surroundings but seemed to have not found anything suspicious except for the noise, he nodded at his comrade after that.

Seeing this Uzai blinked. He called out at the direction of the noise. "Who's there!"

"Woah guys! It's just me." A tall black-toned man stepped out at the right side of a boulder. He was wearing standard [Hidden Cloud] uniform, a dark-blue jumpsuit with the sleeves cut short and pants tucked into the boots, a white and gray jacket that only have one strap buttoned on the left shoulder, two pouches over the but for shuriken and kunais, white and red shin guards, and a pair of black open-toe shoes.

His hair was a darker shade of green. He wore a strained expression on his face with a sweat drop on his forehead as his eyes slanted pleasantly. He raised his hands lightheartedly in the air as if his two chūnin comrades had just given a big deal about something.

"Onara?" The two chūnin - Kuso and Uzai, seemed to recognized the dark-green haired shinobi as they heave a heavy breath of air.

"What are you doing here, Onara? Haven't you gone ahead of us to report for our successful mission?"

Kuso seemed to be infuriated at 'Onora'. Maybe it was because of their puny guarded misunderstanding, Kuso hated being on edge the most even though he was already a chūnin, and judging from the way he acts and his words, both Kuso and Uzai are apparently quite close with the dark-green haired black dude.

Onara tilted his head low as his eyes unusually flashed. Yet, when he raised his head, he wore a serene, smiling appearance as he responded while pointed at the boulder over his shoulder with his thumb. "I have to take a leak and drain the contents in my butt behind this boulder. You can cheek if you want to. Wanna' warn you though, the smell is quite... not-so-heavenly, hehe."

"Disgusting shit, who wants to smell your dung asshole?" Kuso yelled, but judging by his tone, he was merely going along with him in humor.

"C'mon you too, we should get going. We're already behind the due of when we should report the contents of our mission." Uzai reminded with earnest. Onara and Kuso nodded in response.

"You shouldn't have messed around Onara, I can't have my pay deducted just because of you not reporting the mission on time."

"Sorry, but I really couldn't bear it any longer."

"..."

"..."

"..."

As the three got further and further away from the boulder, Onara's smiled widened, much to the confusion of the two Kumo-nins.

'Onara's acting weirder and weirder every day.' They thought.

Unknown to them, behind the boulder where 'Onara' came out from, a tied-up corpse of a man who seemed to have been subjected to torture, bearing similar appearance as the one who accompanied them was laying there horrifically. A toad suddenly jumped beside the body and shockingly, it swallowed the incapacitated corpse within its small body. After that, it hopped away as it nothing happened.

Back at the Sarutobi Compound, the clan's training grounds.

Kajirama had already depleted most of the reserves in his chakra coils after thirthy minutes of practicing the [Tree Walking Practice. He was resting as he sat on the dirt training grounds, although the practice wasn't anything close to being strenuous, Kajirama was still sweating bullets because of how much concentration one needed to maintain chakra on the soles of one's feet.

He can already climb the highest height of a fifteen-meter tree, he was just doing this practice so that it would become second nature to him, or at least being able to do it while he's fighting before elevating on his training regarding chakra control.

He glanced at Anko and saw that she too, was training hard on her jutsu.

Not wanting to waste any more time, after he was done resting, Kajirama stood up and then picked up his o-wakizashi.

"It's time to start my Kenjutsu training." When
