The dimension had become a massive farm. Besides the two children, there were just twelve adults, including Wendy. There was far too much to do, with an endless stream of chores every day.
Just collecting the chicken and duck eggs took several hours each day.
Taylor Vance and Zion Lowell were in charge of transporting the chicken and duck eggs by tricycle. The others grabbed bamboo baskets and headed into the poultry yard to start working. The farming area was even larger than the several farms at the base. The chickens, ducks, and geese in the dimension were all free-range and weren't fed commercial feed, so even the broilers had grown up like pasture-raised fowl. The grass was littered with so many eggs that you could easily step on one if you weren't careful.
