Flustered, Evelyn Ford quickly wiped his face. Ronan Kendrick didn't move an inch, just watched her intently.
"Ronan Kendrick, why do you always say such startling things?"
"Hmm?" He still looked confused.
"Let's get married, too. I really want to marry you." He had always been direct, saying whatever was on his mind. He just wanted Evelyn Ford to know he wanted to be with her—every hour of every day, every minute, every second.
Evelyn Ford almost burst out laughing. "Are you sure you want to be the one getting married *off* to me?"
"I'm sure." 'Besides, it's not like there's a rule in this world against a man being the one to marry off.'
"The one who gets married off has to wear a dress. Are you willing to do that?"
For a moment, Ronan Kendrick was dumbfounded. "A dress? But I'm a man."
He thought for a few seconds before saying in a low voice, "If I'm only wearing it for you, that's fine. But no one else can see. I might get the urge to kill them."
