WETHER SHE BE DEAD OR ALIVE⚠️
The moment the order to teach her a lesson left the empress dowager's mouth, the seven empress candidates prepared to do just that.
It was no hidden affair that they all hated the lady especially after they had heard that she really was the emperor's wife and not just a royal concubine.
It was no surprise that everyone of them wished for her to somehow disappear from the face of the earth.
And now, there was an opportunity to actually harm her.
If she were to die in this, even the emperor could do nothing about it because the empress dowager had given the command to do to her what they were about to do.
While the seven empress candidates were all basking in the joy of their new given opportunity, Hyeera only gasped at the order to attack the lady.
This was not going to go well.
Infact, she would not get involved in it all lest she be eaten by the dust.
Besides, this would keep the lady busy and buy them time to rest.
'Please let's ha-' Matrix began, but the seven ladies advanced on the lady that instant.
'Leave them be!' Hyeera snapped at him, quickly moving away from the lady.
It was one of the empress dowager's maid who reached her first and slapped her with all the bitterness of her heart.
Hyeera screamed as did Xiera and Vura, at the sight.
The latter two had screamed because they were a bit surprised.
But Hyeera, she had screamed because the trouble the empress dowager had been courting was ready to begin.
The lady stared as her eyes glistened with anger.
The beast that they had been trying hard to suppress since the nap hour had finally seen a casus belci.
And, she would not be caught in the crossfire because there was no way to stop what had come to life.
Then, it happened, the thing that all had dreaded since the nap hour.
The lady screamed so piercingly, her eyes going to the sky.
She sounded like a mad loup-garou.
The sound startled everyone back.
She lowered her eyes and glared at the maid as a thick lour shrouded her.
Then, she unleashed her copious prowess, attacking the maid like a mad woman.
She grabbed her by the neck and lifted her, then threw her to the ground like a piece of garbage before the maid had the time to scream in pain.
She caught the nearest person and administered the same punishment.
The rest of the maids shifted backwards at the sight.
Anyways, she caught the empress dowager next and instantly grabbed her by the shoulder.
The woman's eyes widendyas her jaw dropped to the floor fast.
She made a small sound of anger before her hands began to dig into the woman's shoulder.
The woman screamed at the onslaught of pain.
'Do something! Stop her lest I shall die at her hands!" She shrieked.
She shook with fear.
"The one who succeeds in stopping her -wether she be dead or alive- shall have my favour for the empress contest!' she announced.
That was it, the final straw that broke the camel's back.
They all came at her.
Cora, Vura and Xiera drew their weapons to protect her.
They began to aid the lady in the fight that had broken out.
It was now a fight to the death as their lady's life has been threatened.
However, they found that their help was not needed.
The first reason being that none paid any attention to them, all going for the lady.
And the second and key reason was the fact that their lady was capable of taking care of them.
And in the state that she was in, she could hardly recognize friend or foe.
Seeing Hyeera and Matrix on the sidelines made the realize that they were safer there, away from it all.
They moved to the sidelines and watched the ongoings with angst.
There was the sound of cracking of bones, snapping of limbs and torturous screams of pain, piercing cries of mercy, pleas to be spared and howls of anguish as the lady fought women after women of the empress dowager's retinue.
And in no time, there were several bodies on the ground, some too battered, some too injured, some too in pain, some too scared to stand up again and attack her.
She screamed once more at the darkening sky.
The rest of which had not attacked her, the seven empress candidates then came at her as reinforcement, all desperate to have her head.
The first was Jocasta and her escort, Kia.
The lady swung her blade at the lady who stepped to the side and jabbed her in the ribs.
A cracking sound echoed after the gesture and the lady fell to one knee, obviously in pain.
Her escort took then as an opportunity to make a go for the distracted lady who turned back at the last minute, missed the incoming swing of the blade and walloped the escort who crashed to the ground without a sound.
She didn't move after she fell, demobilized.
She turned back to Jocasta and finished her off with a kick that sent her flying some metres away.
She turned to meet Helen and her escort, Daphne alongside Melanie and her escort, Mist who all came unto her at the same time.
She skipped out of the way of Melanie's sword and only narrowly missed Daphne's.
She shifted to the side at Helen's thrust.
The move caught the lady unaware and cause her to fall in a forward motion.
Her fall was thankfully stopped by the lady who pulled her backwards only to punch her in the face, twice.
The lady staggered to the side the moment she let go of her.
She caught her once again and threw her at the oncoming Daphne.
Both fell to the ground with a loud thud, tangling around each other.
She turned then and leveled a stylish kick at Mist who coughed up blood at the sheer force to her stomach.
Her sword fell from her hands and she picked it to defend herself from Melanie's descending sword.
She braced the blade with the one in her hands from her squatting position.
She reached out and swept Melanie to her feet with a sweeping motion of her outstretched leg.
The lady went down with all of her armour and the resounding sound of metal.
She rose and stomped on her stomach with her foot, creating a deep dent in the armour.
The dark skinned lady screamed in pain at the motion, blood leaving her mouth with force.
The lady jumped back to avoid being touched by the red sloshes.
She then turned and parried another attack from Daphne who had come unto her again.
The lady's sword went to her neck.
She ducked to the side and the tip of the sword touched her cheek, making a really slight tear.
Blood stained the thin line on her face.
She stepped back and touched her cheek with wide eyes.
Then she lifted her head and stared at the lady with a dark, angry gaze and a murderous aura.
'You!' she snapped at her, pointing her fingers at her.
Without another word, she advanced on her with a speed that belittled a rocket.
Daphne defended herself with her sword, but the lady missed everytime, and she had the chance to even hit her countless times despite the sword always aiming for her.
She sighted Helen coming at her from one corner of her eyes.
She waited until the last moment and skipped out of the way causing a wondrous thing.
Helen's sword met Daphne's right arm and the aide stared at her mistress.
While the staredown of guilt was going on, the lady finished them off simultaneously with one strong kick, sweeping from left to right, carrying Helen first and then her aide to the ground.
That was not the end for another sword instantly came towards her.
She turned slightly and evaded the blade.
She swung a few more times in avoiding the blade before turning to the assailant.
It was Jessica, Zoë's aide.
She avoided one more fatal hit even as Zoë's own sword came into view.
And now she was up against two sword, that of mistress and aide. She did something then.
She held unto Zoë's blade and gave Jessica a direct kick.
The lady and her sword flew metres away.
Then, she used the sword she was holding as a pivot and whirled around, completing it with a small leap into the air and a side kick to Zoë's face.
The lady staggered back with the hit even as she left the sword and landed.
She caught her with another kick to her knees, causing Zoë to fall into her knees.
Then, she finished her off with another.
She looked up, expecting another blade but there was none.
'Come on! Come on!' she goaded the rest of them who was now standing back.
Then, Hera-Mera came forth unsheathing her sword.
'No one will blame me for your death Lady Mine,' she said her name in a mocking tone.
'None will blame me for yours too!' she snapped at her.
Then, she attacked first.
Hera-Mera didn't even see her until an uppercut greeted her chin.
She didn't have time to react for the wallop that followed next.
The hit carried her face to the side with a small cracking sound.
Hera-Mera's eyes widened as she reached for her face.
Horror and pain blanketed every inch of her gobsmacked face.
The lady stepped back and grinned at her, satisfied with her work until Winne's sword was at her neck, the lady's aide.
The lady left the sword there as her mistress recovered and looked up to her.
Hera-Mera smiled wickedly.
There was a chance.
There was hope.
'I told you not to blame me. Finish her Winnie,' she ordered her.
The blade moved, but not to the lady's neck.
She had taken the tip of the sword in her hands and lifted it above her head, flipping Winnie alongside it with a strength that drew a gasp from Hera-Mera.
Winnie whipped the floor with a force that left mouths agape and raised the dust of the earth.
The aide inhaled sharply, her chest moving in am upward motion and then she lay there immobilized.
'You bitch!' she snapped and attacked her madly.
Their spar was a heated one for Hera-Mera was a rather good fighter.
The duel went on and on until the lady found an opening to strike Hera-Mera.
The Princess staggered back from the sheer force as the lady executed another hit, this time to her sword hand, causing the blade to drop to the ground.
Hera-Mera groaned in pain.
She held the now empty hand and kicked her to the floor.
Hera-Mera fell to her side.
And then, she did something worse, still holding unto the hand, she raised her leg and let it descend, unto that hand.
The scream that followed was gruesome as bone cracked.
The Princess held unto her broken arm with the other one, still screaming in terror.
Meanwhile, the lady stared down at her with a wicked smile.
She cackled with laughter at her handiwork.
'Now that's better.'
She turned around, addressing the crowd.
'Yes, anyone? Anyone else wants to come up against me?'
No one moved.
'Oh come on, this isn't fun anymore. If no one wants to attack me, then I might as well attack you all by myself.'
Then, she turned in order to attack the nearest person.
That was how it began, the blood bath that Hyeera had predicted.
Persons after persons fell to the ground hurt or injured, bones broken, face slammed, ribs cracked, skin torn and so many others.
They all tried to fight back, in defense, but none was a match for the mulish intractable beauty.
She flew around, throwing kicks and punches with a satisfied ile on her face, loving the pain and terror she was inflicting on her victims.
Her hair had come loose as she flew around, flying behind her like some sort of glorious mane, giving her a fiery look.
Somewhere, the empress dowager ordered the guards on her, to restrain her.
The royal guards went to her in swarms with only one goal in their minds, to capture her and thereby stop her.
But, she dealt with glock after flick of the men like they were useless ants, deriving sadistic pleasure from what she was doing, like a predator to a prey.
And when none refused to approach her again lest she finish the entire battalion, she roared in protest.
'Come at me! Come on come at me! At meeee!' she screamed in the strong frustration of her playthings refusing to partake in the game anymore.
'We have to restrict the lady, lest something happens,' Hyeera told her aides, Cora, Vura and Xiera.
'She might turn if we do not take her away quickly,' Matrix added.
'But, but how do we do that?' Xiera mumbled. 'I do not think she realizes friend neither foe in this state.'
'We have to overwhelm her into submission, we have to fight against her,' Hyeera said.
'Fight against her?!' Xiera snapped in a shaky voice.
Her eyes filled with fear.
'It's... It is impossible to do that. Don't you see the kind of strength that she possesses?!'
She fisted both of her hands to keep them from shaking so terribly.
'We have no other option warrior. We are doing this to protect the Lady and not others."
Xiera swallowed.
"We have to protect her from herself. What if she kills someone in this state at the rate in which she is going?" Hyeera continued.
'We will blame ourselves for not stopping her even with out lives,' Vura chipped in.
'I know. But-'
'No buts Xiera,' Cora suddenly spoke up. 'If you want to renege, you can do so. No one will blame you. After all, you are the only human among us.'
Her eyes widened.
Renege? On her lady?
She would never.
She shook her head.
'I will not renege!'
'You sure?' Vura asked her with disbelief and raised brows.
Then, Xiera did something.
She turned to the still screaming lady and yelled at her, drawing her attention.
The lady turned to her, a bored expression on her face.
'Look here, my lady, why don't we play around a little?' she taunted.
The lady's eyes sized her up ever so slowly, and then, she smiled.
'Finally, someone good," she said with a devilish smirk.
Xiera's blood congealed at the look on her face when she said those words.
She was in soup now.
And only the Emperor's appearance could save all of them.
