The Facility was abuzz as people moved. we were working on expansion plans, with Pierce gone we would expand to fill gap. the goal to infiltrate hydra would be a long one, they say when you cut off a head two more grow in its place, but we would make sure that any grown heads would be under our firm control. however a few things would have to happen first. we would have to immunize our agents to Brainwashing if possible. we also had to be careful not to upset the power balance too badly, as Strucker may not see the program that gave Wanda and Pietro their powers as necessary.
our monitoring of Tony Stark was going well, he was on a yacht party in the Bahamas right now. the infiltration into Jarvis was going... less than ideally however, that i had expected some resistance but that AI was incredibly good at maintaining its own code and picking out any weird or mismatched code. As it was now, without access directly to his mainframe we would be unable to get into his files with our current Staff level. This was disconcerting as the current Jarvis was easily hacked and suppressed by characters like Ultron, and while we were okay for now this was a problem that must be remedied as soon as possible. Our network security must not be compromised in any way.
For now however, I needed more security for the base, expansions were noisy no matter what you did, we were creating tunnels all around New York so that Task Forces could be deployed anywhere in the city in minutes. I turned and headed into the operations room, several techs were working, coordinating work crews and MTF squads around the clock.
"prepare the Small Crawlers for infiltration, Tony Stark will be abducted soon. when that happens Stark tower will fall into chaos and much of Jarvis's processing power will be put towards locating the man. At that time they are to enter Stark tower and provide a direct connection to the Mainframe. after that begin the upload of the various code the techs have cooked up." I said to no one in particular, yet every word was heard by various people and immediately written down and saved for later. i knew i could count on them to carry them out when the time came.

that was something, this opened up possibilities for things not seen in the MCU, objects that existed in marvel but didn't show in the movies and shows were now on the table. a small thought of Thanos rolling up with his Stones just to find himself face to face with something like The Ultimate Nullifier certainly gave me a chuckle though.
I immediately invested in creating another task force and detection center for these rifts, since the system mission said I could explore remotely it should be possible. suddenly there was a door, one people were moving through but that I knew wasn't there before, the new detection center was there as if it always existed. As I walked in several markers were already marked on a large holographic map in the center of the room. There were three in total with no discernable differences between them, picking one at random I waved over Jones and a few staff, they moved without words.
several minutes later we arrived in a seemingly random alley. It just floated there, a slight crack in nothing but air, almost invisible if you weren't looking. I picked up a discarded can from the ground and tossed it towards the disturbance, where it promptly vanished as though consumed by the void. I motioned forward with one hand, and several Staff moved forward with rifles.
"anywhere these are detected i want quarantined, use whatever excuse you need but we cant have civilians finding them if anything can pass through and we cant take the risk that something comes out either." i said to one of the people who had stayed back with me who robotically repeated my words back to home base. with a sigh I approached the rift.

I left right after that, I wasn't gunna have anything to do with that cursed world or any of its variants. the second rift was much better.
