In the shadows, Chang'sheng listened to Mo Ling's little speech, watched him climb off the stage with that satisfied nod, and couldn't help but get a face full of dark lines. He glanced over at Mo Yu, who was digging at the floor with her toes, hesitated for a second before asking, "Does your dad take in disciples without even a basic IQ check...? Alright, knock it off. At this rate you're gonna dig yourself out a three-bedroom apartment here."
Mo Yu heard just the first half of Chang'sheng's comment and didn't even try to figure out what he meant with the rest.
Face bright red and embarrassed, she mumbled, "He... Mo Ling isn't usually like this. He's actually smart. How'd he manage to screw up so badly here?"
