A heavy silence hung over the battlefield as the arrows remained suspended midair, refusing to fall or advance. It was as if time itself had frozen them in place.
The Ogres quickly realized that not a single arrow had struck their shields. Confusion spread as they tried to comprehend why thousands of arrows, which had been raining down only moments ago, had suddenly stopped.
"What's going on? Why haven't the arrows reached us yet?" one Ogre muttered nervously, peeking past his shield. His face went pale the instant his eyes caught the sight.
"W-What in the world is this?! The arrows—they're frozen in the air! How is this possible?!" he shouted, his voice cracking in disbelief, his wide eyes reflecting pure shock.
The other Ogres, unsettled by his reaction, lowered their shields to see for themselves.
And when their eyes turned skyward, each one of them wore the same expression—stunned, wide-eyed, dumbfounded disbelief.
