what is a spirit weapon?
this was my first time hearing about it. there was no information about it either.
seeing no other way I decided to use chaotic Infernal flames on it. I had already confirmed that my flames would eradicate any side effects from anything I absorbed so there was no problem.
but the moment my flames touched the katama….
"WAIT!!! ow! ow! ow!"
I heard a squeaky voice. I looked around but there was no one around. but then the katan in my hand started vibrating.
"where are you looking at huh!? how dare you hurt me the great Maya!"
I raised my arm holding the katan as I heard that voice again.
"who are you?"
'how can there be someone inside it'
I thought as I waited for the reply.
suddenly the katana started shining white. it shined so much that I had to cover my eyes.
and when I opened them again i saw a woman, a woman gorgeous enough to topple countries the only problem was her size. she was as big as my index finger.
she had a white hair and black eyes. behind she had two small bat wings and she was looking at me with a hostile gaze.
"look what you did! because of you I don't have much time anymore"
girl said as she pointed at her wings and apparently they were melting.
"how is that my fault!"
I rebuke, I thought she was a weapon and just wanted to absorb her abilities who knew something like this would happen.
"you did something with those weird flames and this happened."
her expression changed to someone who was about to cry.
I sighed, at the end it really was my fault.
"can I do anything to help or are you a done deal?"
I said as I tried to find a solution but this seems to infuriate her even more.
"what do you mean done dea! I just need some cursed mana but how can I find it here!"
now she screamed at me.
"that's it, you can have mine!"

she swallowed her words as she saw a gaseous black ball on my hand.
"I can't just absorb cursed mana we need to have a contract for that."
"then do you wanna sign one?"
I offered her a suggestion, I already had a stack of mana contracts in my pocket space.
Instead after listening to me she gave me a disgusted look.
"contact someone like you, dream on."
Now veins were popping on my head. If I listened anymore of the arrogant nonsense who knew what would happen.
"Now listen here it's not me who needs help it's you!"
I said as I pointed at her body which was starting to become transparent.
she looked at her hands which were transparent and panicked.
"now make a choice."
I said as I folded my hands and gave her a choice
"Either die or make a contract with me"
she was already pulling her hair in frustration. but after a bit later she sighed, she seemed like someone who has given up on life.
"I wanna make a contract."

I took out a mana contract from my pocket space and just when I was about to write conditions when girl asked something.
"what are you doing?"
"what else? writing a mana contract."
"No we don't need this kind of contract what we need is a spirit contract."
"what's that?
"augh! just let me do it"
She said as she closed her eyes and mumbled some words.
And then a system notification (basically words in the golden panel) appeared in front of me.

Maya was about to tell Eric to hurry up but as she saw his stubborn gaze she sighed.
"It's an equal spirit contract. this bounds are life together with each other and I can absorb your mana through this."

I said as I tapped on the screen.

After I made my decision Maya looked at me with widened eyes.
"WHY!?"

Honestly I was surprised that she even thought I would agree.

She tried to come up with an argument but I shot her down.

Maya looked like she had words to say but after she looked at her body which was almost at verge off vanishing she caved in.

She again closed her eyes and mumbled some words.

I heard Maya's voice but didn't see her lips moving.

as soon as I agreed I felt the cursed mana inside me churning.

this continued for a while, if this was any normal person They would have long died of mana exhaustion.

I rule out the possibility of her doing it on purpose because if I die she dies as well.
