Chapter 7 - [7-The Adventurers Guild]

After getting to the guards who were acting as a checkpoint for anyone entering and exiting the kingdom, me and the adventurer get to the gate, one of the guards say-

"Hello there, are you here for business, trade or are you adventurers?"

"We're adventurers " the adventurer beside me replies

"Alright that will be 2 gold per person, not including carriage drivers"

As he says that, the adventurer next to me hands the guard 4 coins

"Thank you for your cooperation, welcome to " the guard says

As he says that, the carriage moves forward and through the gates and as we pass those gates, I see exactly what I wanted to see, long cobbled streets, wood and stone buildings.

Also known as the ideal medieval style world for magic, after marveling for a moment, I ask the adventurer next to me-

"I can't ever remember where the guild is from here, where is it again?"

To that he replies "what a coincidence, that always used to happen to me, oh well the guild is ; the first right then the second left then go straight until you reach the bull's inn then…"

And I reply with "Alright, I think we're gonna have to split up from here but if I run into you again one day remind me to invite you to a drink next time"

(Always a better idea to be on that guys good side, since he's stronger than me for now)

And with that, I got off of the carriage and was on my way to the guild, alone once again.

But it's because I was alone, doesn't mean I felt lonely, because just one look around and you could tell that the people where anything but sad, in fact they where all quite happy and joyful, But that's not my issue.

And so I continued to walk leisurely to the guild, while I admired and marveled at everything around me..

After about 10 minutes of walking I spotted the guild, it looked kind of like the stone walls had a tint of blue, and the building had an overhanging second floor, making it stand out from the other buildings.

After getting close to the building, I realized that the stones where actually blue, instead of the normal yet still vibrant light gray on most of the other buildings.

Intrigued as to why the stones where a different colour, I appraise them-

='Appraise'=

'Hmm, so if alchemy does exist in this world, maybe there are other types of magic as well?'

After pondering on that thought for a moment, I decided it was a question to answer later

After that moment of pondering, I walked into the adventurers hall for the very first time…

After opening the door, expecting a group of hardened men covered in leather and steel, but instead I saw the opposite, it was men and women in varieties of clothes, lots of drinks smiles and laughter.

After just walking in, I felt refreshed from the stale air outside, as I was instead greeted by the smell of sweet booze and alcohol wafting though my nose

'Still slightly in disbelief that this was a guild hall, I decided to check one of the people sitting down to see if this was a actually just a bar or the guild-

='Appraise'=

'Huh, guess it really is the guild, oh well, better go register myself as an official guild member'

As I begin walking towards the counter withe words "Registration" above it I get a glimpse of the person standing at the registration counter, he was a big guy, looked like an adventurer who also took a desk job in his spare time, he had a light brown-ish skin tone, with a sword on his back and from what I could hear, his voice was rough but clear, he was clearly a battle hardened man.

After observing the rest of the hall I saw a couple things to remember for later, mainly; a "Ranking Board" , an "Information Booth" , a "Quest and Quest Acception" Desk.

By the time I was done looking around me, the short line in front of me was only 2 people away from me, after realizing that it was about to be my turn, I straightened up and acted like I fit in with every one else.

After about 4 minutes of waiting, it was finally my turn, as I looked up at the goliath in front of me, and with his rough, sturdy voice he asked me-

"Hey, are you here to register?"

"Yes, Sir"

"Alright, the registration process is simple, fill in this paper, you have 2 minute."

'Surprised at the sudden written examination, I freak out for a couple seconds before pulling myself together and begin answering the exam'

After a couple of questions I realize this exam actually really basic, there's 2 pages, as of now I'm about to finish the first one, and it's only asking really basic questions like-

'That's the entire first page, it's pretty easy as well, my answers are fine right, I didn't want to use my real name, so I used a name I saw in one of my favorite manga, 'Merlin Void'

For the second question, decided not to specify my class

'It's safer to be able to keep secrets if possible.'

'For the third question I told them that I wasn't in a party and that I don't want to join one'

Now only the second page left…
