And just like that, with a few words, Luciana went offline. And Roxanne, after having enough fun teasing Luciana left the area, taking Luciana along with her. Although Roxanne wanted to take things further, she really has no time for this. Taking care of the mess in Kyoto is far more important than having hot sex with Luciana.
After all, what if they were interrupted because things went south without their absence? Even if this possibility is less than 0.001% in the anime world like this, this little possibility has a very high probability of happening.
And besides, as a perfectionist, Roxanne would not allow her carefully planned conspiracy to fail because of her momentary lust. If anything, she would have her fun after everything is over. Who knows, maybe she could even make Amaterasu join them. Or maybe she could just get everyone in and have the biggest orgy.
Thinking of this, Roxanne's eyes turned red with excitement. And at the same time, every executive of Shadow Garden who had more or less romantic interest towards Roxanne all felt chills running down their spines. And what made them most baffled was that instead of feeling fear, they felt excitement and expectation.
Although the executives want to investigate why they were feeling such a thing, due to their missions, they temporarily decided to ignore this strange feeling.
….
The sky over Kyoto was a mess of golden "holy" beams and ancient blue foxfire, but the vibe was turning into a straight-up horror movie for the Hero Faction. At first, these guys were laughing, wildly throwing attacks with their Sacred Gears, tossing light spears and fireballs, and bullying the forces of the Kyoto yokai and those from the Shinto faction.
"This is too easy!" one Hero Faction guy laughed, blasting a hole through a shrine wall. "The 'Gods' of this city are a joke! Just keep killing until there's nothing left!"
As heroes, they have a natural buff against supernatural beings. And using this buff, they managed to hold off and even push back the yokai and Shinto priests.
But their lucky time was soon over with the arrival of the Shadow Garden. The Shadow Garden girls didn't just show up; they walked into the center of the carnage like they were taking a stroll in a park. While the Hero Faction was shouting and sweating, the girls in black were dead silent, their obsidian blades twitching with a faint, violet hum.
"Wait, who are these girls?" a Hero Faction member wielding a mace like sacred gear yelled, pointing his glowing mace at a Shadow Garden soldier. "Hey! I'm talking to you! you—"
He didn't even finish. The girl moved so fast his eyes couldn't even track the blur. Shink. His mace was cut in half, and a second later, his head was sliding off his shoulders. He didn't even have time to scream. The other "heroes" froze, the smug looks on their faces replaced by pure, cold sweat.
"What... what just happened?" another one stammered, his hands shaking as he held up a flaming shield. "I'm a hero! I'm supposed to be the one winning!"
A Shadow Garden member stepped into his light, her blade dripping with blood. "You talk a lot," she said, her voice completely bored. "Is that all your 'hero' can do? Just make noise?" She flicked her wrist, and the shield shattered like glass, her sword buried in his chest before he could even blink.
And like that, the battlefield that was in the hero faction's favorsuddenly did a 180 turn and became a slaughterhouse of despair. The Shinto priests and youkai watched in awe as the people who had been bullying them were now begging for their lives. The Hero Faction guys were literally tripping over their own feet, trying to get away. "Please! Stop! I'll give you my Sacred Gear! Just let me—" Thud. Another body hit the dirt.
"They're not even trying," a Shinto priest whispered, watching a single Shadow Garden mage wipe out an entire squad with one casual wave of her hand. "They're not fighting a war... they're just taking out the trash."
" Well, that's true after all for such cannon fodder. If we really have to get serious, then our reputation as the most fearsome mercenary group will be lost, " a calm voice sounded behind the Shinto priest, making him step back in fright.
Behind him was a girl clad in a Shadow Garden outfit. But unlike the rest of them, this girl's outfit had a few differences, including the fact that her aura is more terrifying than everyone present. And her eyes and hair were pure while contrasting with her outfit. She was reading a book that had a very suspicious title of 'Bros and Hoes.' You
"You are …" the Shinto priest asked cautiously. Although they are both from the same side, the respect for the strong still had to be kept.
"You can call me Rabbit Goddess, " the girl said as she closed the book. Her white eyes gazed at the Shinto priest. Then her gaze turned away and looked at the shadow garden girls, who were almost finished massacring the hero faction members. In her eyes, there was indifference to death and a bit of sadness for death.
This person is none other than Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, who was called to participate in this farce by Roxanne. In fact, not only her but all the executives of Shadow Garden were all called into this farce by Roxanne.
Although neither Kaguya nor the other executives understood why all of them were needed here, due to their trust in Roxanne, they still followed her and came to Kyoto.
"How are Saber and Caster doing? " she asked as she looked at her assistant, who appeared at some point.
"Lady Caster has arrived in Kyoto after finishing her previous mission. Lady Saber is fighting against the Hero Faction elites," the assistant spoke as she cleaned the blood from her sword.
In the Shadow Garden, all the executives are addressed by their codenames, just like how Roxanne goes by the name Shaltier.
Artoria, she goes by the name Saber.
Morgana is called Caster.
Merlin is called Grand Mage.
Charlotte is called Lady M
Natasha is called Dark Angel.
Scarlet is called Red Dragon.
Kaguya is called the Rabbit Goddess.
Luna is called Moon.
And Kurumi is called Sun.
And other people have code names, but most of them start with numbers and a few letters. Only a few members have unique code names. And such people are very powerful but are not executives. For example, there is Ingvild, who has the nickname Demonic Nightingale. Oh, there is also Ophis, who has the nickname CottonBrigade, Candy.
Yes, Ophis, the big boss of the Khoas Brigade is also part of the Shadow Garden. In fact, Ophis can be called the mascot of the Shadow Garden. After all, unlike Scarlet, Ophis is really not that useful. Unless you decide to use Ophis as a power bank.
But would Roxanne really use her friend like that? Of course she would. In fact, when Roxanne is creating weapons, she takes Ophis with her in case her magic power is insufficient.
Of course, to borrow Ophis, Roxanne had to pay her in kandy bundles per hour.
"Hmm, good, tell the girls to wrap things up here quickly. We need to go to the main battlefield and finish this farce, " Kaguya said indifferently.
