Chapter 63 - The gold ring falls into the dog's mouth

The girl Skinia arrived at the village at night, and the full moon was shining in the sky.

Not wanting to be late, her witch mother called her to come at once while the moon was rising.

When she reached home, the wild dog Shuma was at the door. As soon as she entered the yard, it barked loudly and ran after her.

Skinia was afraid, trembling, and running, not wanting to look into the eyes of the black dog, while calling for her mother's help.

The witch heard the dog barking non-stop, blew a special whistle, and suddenly the dog fell silent and sat down.

Skinia rang the doorbell and opened the door. The witch grabbed her and told her to hurry to the dark room, saying that something precious was waiting for her.

The dog Shuma followed the witch. Skinia asked who had brought the dog and left it at home, saying, "It scares me." The witch whistled like a sports stadium whistle, and the dog disappeared, turning into a snake.

Skinia grabbed her mother's clothes, pulling her, and said, "Please, I don't want to look at it. The dog is scary."

The mother whistled incessantly like a musical instrument until the dog ran back in front of her. She grabbed Skinia by the clothes and dragged her into the darkened room.

The room was dark with no light except for the dog's eyes and the white and green eyes of the witch.

Skinia was trembling with fear and could not look at their faces. The witch said to her, "Do not be afraid, do not tremble, do not call for your mother. Put your hands down." In the dog's mouth, a precious item fell—it was Akemi's gold ring.
