"The results will be out tomorrow."
"It's not going to be a long series of shots, is it?" Melody Monroe was scared just thinking about it.
"If you really do need shots, I'll be there with you."
Melody Monroe blushed.
Just a moment ago, when she was getting her blood drawn, she had been a little scared. Evan Fairchild had actually walked over, pressed her head to his chest, and gently patted her back.
Just like comforting a small child.
Thinking back on that gesture now, her heartstrings were still trembling softly.
"I'll take you to see the house in Jansburg."
"Okay." Melody Monroe nodded.
Less than forty minutes later, Evan Fairchild pulled up and parked in a high-end villa district.
Melody Monroe got out of the car and surveyed her surroundings. The next building was a great distance away, making it exceptionally private.
"I just wanted to show you the way today. It's still being renovated inside, so we won't go in."
"Mm-hmm." Melody Monroe nodded.
