Rose Shaw's heart sank. The situation was even worse than she had imagined.
Director Walsh had sounded so encouraging before, but now that they were in Jansburg, he wasn't even willing to meet with them.
"I'll be straight with you. The cast is set. Melody Monroe has a bit of a name for herself now, so it wouldn't be right to give her a bit part, and all the more significant roles have already been filled."
"I understand. Thank you, Director Walsh." Rose Shaw hung up and angrily threw her phone onto the sofa.
"Rose, calm down. If this is how it is, there's nothing we can do."
Rose Shaw truly couldn't understand. 'Why is this happening?!'
"Even if Lana Sheffield is pulling strings behind the scenes, she can't be that powerful, can she? We're hitting roadblocks at every turn. It's like we've been blacklisted!"
Melody Monroe was speechless.
'Blacklisted? Could that really be happening?'
"I'll make some more calls. There are still a few directors I haven't tried yet."
