A thought suddenly flashed through her mind.
'No, no, no, Melody, don't get carried away. He's just drying your hair, and you already think he likes you!'
'But if he didn't like someone, why would he do something like this?'
Melody Monroe recalled a common joke.
Women think everything men do, they do for love.
But men do everything for only one reason.
A man like Evan Fairchild could have lovers, but getting him to commit to a real relationship would be difficult.
'I wonder what kind of woman he would fall in love with.'
Her hair was soft and smooth, and Evan Fairchild was reluctant to stop. 'How did it dry so fast?' He wanted to keep going for a while longer.

Melody Monroe put the hair dryer away and said softly, "Thank you."
