Caleb White walked over and extended a hand to Ian Monroe. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"You too, Doctor," Ian Monroe replied like a little adult, reaching out to shake Caleb White's hand.
"Call him Uncle!" Evan Fairchild reminded him.
Caleb White glanced at Evan Fairchild.
'He's so insistent on the form of address. It's like... I'm sensing something here.'
When he first arrived and saw that his patient was Melody Monroe, a famous actress, he had assumed Evan Fairchild simply couldn't resist a beautiful woman.
But the moment Ian Monroe appeared, he was no longer so sure of his assumption.
He sized up the man and the boy again, a bold idea forming in his mind.
Then again, he thought, it was probably impossible.
"Well, I'll be taking my leave now."
After Caleb White left, the attendants also excused themselves.
