After the meeting, Evan Fairchild opened WeChat. He already had a message.
A picture of a kitten and a line of text: Mr. Fairchild, I've arrived.
'So cute!'
Evan Fairchild saved the picture. He put his phone away and continued with his work.
During a break in filming, Melody Monroe took out her phone and glanced at WeChat.
He hadn't replied to the message she sent Evan Fairchild yet.
'He must have seen it, right?'
'Then again, it's perfectly normal for him not to reply.'
'In fact, she'd find it strange if he did reply.'
Melody Monroe put her phone away. For some reason, a strange feeling flickered through her heart. It was as if she was secretly hoping for a reply.
Even if it was just a simple "Mm."
"Melody." A voice suddenly called out.
"Mr. Langdon, you're here."
"Mm, I just got here." Zane Langdon sat down, handing what he was holding to Melody. "This is for you."
"What is it?"
"Open it and see."
Melody opened the box. Inside was an embroidered shawl.
