Melody lay down, and the little guy immediately snuggled into her arms.
Melody had planned to wait for Ian to fall asleep before going to find Evan Fairchild.
But in the end, Ian Monroe successfully lulled her to sleep instead.
Seeing his mother was asleep, Ian Monroe quietly slipped out of bed, locked the door from the inside, then climbed back in and nestled against his mom, drifting off peacefully.
At 6:30 in the morning, the alarm went off.
Melody shot up in bed. Ian Monroe was already up and washing his face and brushing his teeth.
"Mommy, good morning." Ian Monroe, who was in the middle of brushing his teeth, heard the alarm and immediately ran to the bathroom door to greet his mother.
"Morning, sweetie." Melody stretched. She had slept incredibly well next to Ian, and she woke up feeling refreshed.
She walked into the bathroom to get ready with Ian.
Once they were both dressed, they went downstairs, where Auntie Lana had already prepared a sumptuous breakfast.
