Evan Fairchild looked at Ian Monroe. "Who treated me like a bad guy and called the cops on me? Who told them to put me in handcuffs?"
Ian Monroe immediately explained, "You look like a bad guy! And I don't know you!"
'He's your dad!'
Seeing the two of them start to argue, Melody Monroe quickly said to Evan Fairchild, "I'm sorry, President Fairchild. Ian is only three. You're in your thirties, aren't you? As an adult, you could have easily explained the situation. Besides, if the cops knew who you were, they never would have put you in handcuffs."
"So, you're blaming me?"
"Yeah! It's your fault!" Ian Monroe said at once.
Evan Fairchild was struck speechless.
"How old did you just say I was?" Evan Fairchild asked Melody Monroe. 'I have to clear this up, or she'll think I'm ancient!'
"Don't tell me... you're in your forties?" Melody Monroe asked tentatively.
Evan Fairchild nearly blew a gasket.
He glanced at the mother, then at the son.
'My chest hurts!'
