He walked back with a disappointed look on his face.
When he got near the tents set up by those people, Ah Liu observed the scene using the moonlight.
It was very quiet, and everyone seemed to be fast asleep.
The person from earlier was likely the night watchman... The tent he stayed in was wide open at this moment.
Summoning his courage, Ah Liu quietly sneaked inside.
Soon, he emerged with a backpack and a handgun in hand.
Without making a sound, he disappeared into the darkness.
After walking a considerable distance, Ah Liu stopped and opened the backpack. Inside were a flashlight, night vision goggles, a compass, bullets, food, and water — everything was there.
Ah Liu was almost overjoyed.
There was actually a compass!!
These people had prepared so thoroughly.
Yet, it benefited him!
With a compass, he could walk in a straight line and make his way out of this mountain forest.
