The armored giant stood up quickly revealing its damaged silver knight armor full of cracks and blood.
It tried to run away but before it could get far all its limbs twisted in odd angles.
This caused Lily to gasp in shock as the armored knight let out a primal howl of pure pain.
After a few moments of eerie silence a black claw broke from the inside of the armor spreading blood and metal shards everywhere. When out from inside the knight bloody body crawled out, its skin was ink black and clawed its empty white eyes look around confused before blackly staring at Lily.
It just made eye contact for a moment as a silent wind passed by.
The figure let out a raspy
"Arg ug eglies"
Was what Lily heard but thanks to greys sound rune she felt he said "are you defilers"
Lily borrowed some more of greys power to reason with it.
Mister flos looked at grey for a moment "remember that silent dome you use to sleep every night, can you use that sound field to translate for everyone?"
Grey just nodded using his instinct and intent to command his rune core.
The next second a slight static wave passed everyone leaving a dome around them.
Lily spoke next "we are not defilers, I am merely seeking help from far away creatures."
Its voice was still raspy but easier to understand "I cannot help you! For I must guard the fallen."
Grey let out a small sonic pulse scanning this creatures body before whispering and sending the voice directly to Lily and flos ears.
"It has no heart beat and seems to be a tier three beast, also his darkness seems to weaken my sound waves."
Grey was carful eyeing this creature ready to strike at a moment's notice.
"You can still guard your 'fallen' but I will summon you when I need your help in exchange I will help improve you're powers."
She tried to act confident.
"Hmm the power is tempting but if I eat your corpse can I probably gain your power?"
He asked genuinely curious.
Grey heard enough his body started growing a exoskeleton and a large scorpion tail while he stared down the creature.
The ink black all around it slowly retraced almost like liquid darkness as it raised its hands. "Just a question calm down." It didn't seem to take grey very seriously.
It soon disappeared into the darkness again without a sound.
Using his scorpion senses grey could feel small vibrations heading towards Lily rapidly.
Without a second thought grey used his raw flow to boost his speed as he summoned his disc while sending vibrations into it.
A claw rapidly went for lily's legs the second it disappeared but grey was fast enough to keep up slicing its fingers.
The next moment shadows started rising in bladed forms trying to cut everything nearby.
Flos was now watching from the fight from the tree tops. "Hugo can you keep up with their speed?"
A voice from a small mist nearby spoke
"Barely my lord as a tier four mage myself I know how surprising greys speed can be he only lack control for now while that creature seems to teleport in darkness. It seems like grey can track him so as long as no dies I can heal them all."
Flos just nodded his hand tightly gripping a small hand axe ready to jump in.
(ROARRR) "you delay the fallen their guard I must protect them." It yelled out fiercely.
Grey was rapidly running around cutting any claws aimed at Lily while shoving her away from projectiles.
The creature watched as grey used his armor and tail defend the elf while using his disc to attack from a distance. His eyes looked fierce ready to protect until the end they were the eyes of some carrying guilt and pain silently so others wouldn't have to.
The creature slowly emerged from the darkness a distance away. "I like you rabbit."
"You weird lady you want me? Hmm prove to me you are more worthy than the fallen."
Lily sighed in relief "a challenge from a summon is absolute! If I win you become my guard."
The creature nodded stepping out of the darkness revealing a human male with grey skin and purple eyes. The only thing covering him was a black fured loincloth.
He seemed to be muscular but lank his body full of blade wounds he looked majestic
as his hair shone a beautiful black in the moonlight.
Flos tightly griped his axe as he slowly asked for confirmation as his rage bubbled "Hugo please tell me that isn't a naked human my daughter summoned."
Hugo analyzed the young man for a second before answering "No sir that's a naked ghoul your daughter summed probably risen from the corpse of a fallen human."
Flos threw his axe at his sarcastic mist servant doing no damage to it as the mist formed a small smile.
"What is the challenge… um what's your name?"
The ghoul stopped only realizing its lack of introduction. "Who me? I'm Adam protector of the stone tribes graves."
Grey spoke up next pretty out of breath. "I thought humans didn't have runes or magic."
"No rabbit I'm a undead ghoul and humans usally don't have runes but we can still use raw flow energy and our bodies, some can even use strength beyond mages."
"So the challenge is I'll use my mind rune to put you in a mental prison if you can't escape in a hour out hear you'll fail and I eat something living here before leaving."
"Oh no." Was all grey could say hearing the mention of a mental prison giving him flash backs to his own mental torments.
Lily agreed right away as Adam's eyes turned blue and lily's eyes followed soon after.
"So what now" grey asked
Adam looked at grey with a smile. "Now we wait and I learn more about you mister shapeshifting rabbit. I noticed you use the wieird weapon well or would you rather spar with just weapons?"
Grey smiled "yeah I still haven't won our little fun.
Adam smiled also ready to fight for fun. His whole body was slowly covers in liquid darkness while his finger extended into claws his all black smile looked pure evil.
"How about you attack me this time and I defend?" Grey nodded in acknowledgment.
Adam started teleporting through the darkness but grey not only tracked him but kept up with just speed.
Greys disc kept clashing with Adam's claws as they continued fighting grey stopped for a moment.
"I guess it's time for my new form." Greybsaid grinning. Adam stopped and waited curious what grey would pull.
Greys fur started shedding as his bones started cracking.
He now looked like a grey skinned elf with golden eyes and a scorpion tail only standing at about three and half feet tall.
"Hmm it seems that elf had some bad genetics what a shame I'm only a only a lesser chimera my transformations aren't as great as a a true chimeras they can eat anything and only keep what's useful while I only gain something random from what I eat as long as it's fresh a not to weak."
Greys started running even faster now leaving behind after images of his short grey elf like body speeding all over the place.
