Chapter 12 - END OF VOLUME ONE

"Yuna, Yuna , we have arrived", said Jenny who had offered to take them to her grandmother. Right after the ritual was over, they had boarded the next flight and before they knew, they were already in another country. "I can smell some vicious energy, but I cannot decide whether it is a soul recognizing the other soul or someone helping it", said an old woman who was standing at the entrance of the door. "That is my grandmother", introduced Jenny. "Acesta este prietenul v-am spus despre", said Jenny to her grandmother. The old woman looked at the second seat of the car and had a vision.

VISION

"How can they be so happy after taking away everything from me and putting me behind the bars? I will not let them go. I will make them suffer", said a man who was wearing a pale blue outfit and was talking to a woman on the other side of the window. "Don't be foolish and don't even think about causing any trouble, you are lucky that Mr. Han only insisted on charging you with a few bills, theft and not kidnapping their newborn granddaughter", said the woman who looked a few years younger. "I just didn't do it for myself, I did it for us", argued the man. "Please don't commit any crimes for my sake and only focus on correcting yourself", pleaded the lady.

REALITY

"I see, so this is where it all started or should I say that, that incident was only a catalyst", murmured the old woman. Yuna, who was busy helping her daughter, couldn't listen to the old woman. "Get inside, let the lady use the guest room but the girl can share my room", said the old woman. The hospitality provided was very good but everything from what they ate to what they drank had herbs in it. As the dusk fell the old lady started preparing for the conjuring ritual and they were invited to the field. There were three other women whom she had not met but all of them had flower crowns on their heads and were wearing beautiful gowns. Ji- Soo was asked to sit in the middle of the circle which they had drawn with the help of ashes. Soon they began chanting spells which sounded pleasant but at the same time had an eerie vibe to it.

"HAHAHAHA you are trying your best, I see but are they, my opponent?", said a voice. Yuna opened her eyes and had the continuation of the same vision that she had before.

VISION

"Discard it away, what are you standing there for? Hurry", said the woman who looked exactly like Ji- Soo. "Yes, madam", she said and started picking up all the other clothes which were not burnt. Yuna followed the woman who looked like her and saw her going near the forest. "If I keep some of the clothes for myself nothing will happen, right", she heard the lady whisper to herself and out of greed she just threw those that were burnt but the rest were kept along with her. She hid the clothes behind a boulder and went back.

Yuna found herself in another place which looked like a dungeon. "Where is my Concubine?", asked a man whose attire made him look like a man from a wealthy family. Yuna looked closer and saw that it was Ji-Soo covered with blood on the ground. "Don't touch her", Yuna yelled and tried to throw herself to cover her child, but she could not move. "She is dead already. Do you want me to summon a dead person? How can you do this to me? I had been betrothed to you since I was a child. We grew up together but now you are doing this to me just because of that woman", cried the woman in grief. "Ji-Soo don't talk, please", begged Yuna who was scared for the woman who looked like her daughter. "That woman was the one I had chosen for myself but you evil woman took her from me. Now tell me when you killed her, she must also have been in pain, so it is only fair that you also die in pain", said the man who had a very cold look in his eyes. Salt water was poured on top of her wounds and Ji-Soo was left to writhe in pain. "Ahhhhhhh", screamed another voice from a nearby cell and Yuna could feel a chill down her spine. She looked and recognized the decapitated body of herself lying on the ground.

REALITY

While Yuna was having these dreams Jenny's grandmother had the continuation of the vision that she had seen.

VISION

"You are now out of prison because of your good conduct. Make sure to live your life well and don't get yourself too involved with the rich people. They are all twisted and know how to deal with commoners like us", suggested the cell guard. The man who had been released from the jail headed straight towards the mountain instead of returning home. His wife who was waiting for her husband had her eyes stuck towards the door. The man was in search of a witch to put a curse on. "You have searched for me but with evil intentions. I shall help you but remember the repercussions of these are to be carried on by your entire three generations. Are you sure you would want to do it?", asked a woman who looked like any other woman, but her aura was very much different. Jenny's grandmother could feel it even if it was all just a vision.

The man nodded his head and handed a piece of handkerchief which belonged to a baby and a napkin. "Then there is nothing more to discuss if you have already decided", said the woman with a smile on her face. She prepared a few simple things like water and a doll and wrapped the doll together in the handkerchief and the napkin. She chanted a few spells and spat on the doll and asked the man to do so as well. "Now curse the person on your mind with all the hatred from all your heart and spit again", said the woman. The man did this three times and the woman promised that the man would be able to witness the destruction of whoever the cloth belonged to. "The child had already brought along a strong past karma along with her and you just sealed her fate with this. And I almost forgot, this act will also ask a small sacrifice from you, I hope you are ready for it", warned the woman. The man did not understand what she meant but he was glad that the work was done. While returning home he picked up some fruits from the market that his wife loved but as he approached, he could see a mob swamped up like bees.

He pushed through the crowd only to find his wife's lifeless body sitting on the couch. He dropped everything on the ground and embraced his wife. "She was very happy and was waiting for you. She had even invited me to welcome you", said a woman who was old and had similar features like him. The man couldn't contain himself and wailed like a child. The next day he arranged everything for the funeral of his wife when a man arrived. Jenny's grandmother could sense the change in his emotions, so she understood that this was Mr. Han whom the man loathed. "Why have you come here? Are you happy to see me in the depths of my misery", questioned the man. "I have not come here for you but for my niece who had chosen to marry a scum like you against our wishes, don't cause more trouble and take this money, make sure you give her a good funeral as she was expecting", said Mr. Han.

The man broke down when he heard that his wife was expecting and that all he had done had been in vain. Mr. Park handed him an envelope, but the man had no strength to fight with him as he was utterly dejected after learning the truth. He couldn't understand why his wife had hidden something so important from him. Right after burying his wife, he left for the mountains in search of the woman. "Why didn't you tell me that I had to lose my wife? I never hated her, she was very important to me so why?", inquired the man. "I remember telling you that you will lose something very important to you. Ah, I had said that you have to sacrifice something, now what the demons take I have no control over it", argued the woman. "Please return my wife to me, undo the curse. I don't want to avenge at the cost of my wife", wailed the man. "Fool, this is the reason why I had asked you to think about it twice, but you still chose to do it, now return back", said the woman.

REALITY

"HAHAHAHA do you really think you can save your daughter? I won't let you", echoed a voice. The other women started chanting spells while Jenny's grandmother was in trans. Yuna and Jenny both held each other's hand and started praying to the divine. As soon as the old woman opened her eyes a strong gust of wind blew and the fire in the middle went off. "Mother help me, I want to live, please", said a voice which came from the center of the circle.
