Life is a long journey, a mystery for those who take the weight of pain, burden, guilt, and whatnot. But it's too short for those who do not take the emotional baggage throughout life and try to live in the moment, because that's all they can do - try to overcome their grief throughout life, never really living it.

Amma looked so stressed, so detached. Preceding this, she seemed so helpless, just so into her thoughts. It felt like she was trapped in her memories of some kind. Did she have a word with Papa, or dodda or her brother? Should I call my Papa at least to confirm my speculations and ask him what caused this distress? Or should I leave it?
But then again, if I ask Papa, it will be me invading their privacy. But I can't see Amma like this. Just asking won't hurt now.

I dial Papa's number to call him. He picks up after a few rings, "Hello, dear"
"Papa, are you busy right now? Shall I call you later?"
