"I'll lay down more formation to shield sound and hide vibrations, or perhaps absorb both to not let a single speck of these two variables leak and attract any monster."
Once found the problem and settled on the solution, William started to roam the area around. He had to gather enough resources to make the formations he had in mind. And the good news was that everything he wanted was abundantly found in this zone.
The bad news was that every rich resource was now surrounded by lots of shadow monsters. This became quite alarming, especially when considering how close these monsters were gathering next to his safe base.
"I need to act faster."
Realising how the situation was close to getting out of hand, William instantly stopped gathering more resources and headed back to his base.
He had to first cut off the source of trouble, then he would take his time gathering more resources and laying down more defences.
But fate had a different opinion about that.
