To wrest control of this world from its original owners, William needed to infiltrate its very structural core and change its fundamental nature. Luckily, he already knew the true nature of this realm: it was built entirely on the Darkness element.
"To change the nature of a thing, you must introduce an opposing element," he mused. His plan was to plant anchors throughout the world that radiated elements diametrically opposed to darkness—specifically, his own Light and Lightning elements—while keeping them linked directly to his spirit.
